At first you create a 3d model. Then you render it out as 2d image(s) (like .png) and import them into SHP Builder where you save the final product as .shp. QUICK_EDIT

No, theres no such tool that can convert a ".blend" file to a SHP
Do what DounutArnold just explain. I'll be more specific: First create your model. Second, render it and save the rendered model as a PNG file, then import/or paste it on the SHP Builder. then save it. _________________

1. This is in the wrong forum.
2. Why the hell are you asking about what the best 3D program is when you don't even seem to understand the basic concepts behind using one? Go ask on a website that deals with providing tutorials to 3D modelling n00bs. QUICK_EDIT

I use Wings3d and recommend it for quick start in 3d world.
PROs
+ it's by far the most intuitive modeler. For advanced modeling you should read the help/go to forum (lots of tutorials)
+ all you need in rightclick menu
+ eyeball / numeric precision (you choose)
CONs
- A drawback - no booleans (you'll find yourself needing them) but there are workarounds.
- not complex
- doesn't work with nurbs, just mesh-polyhedrons QUICK_EDIT

id have to disagree with +1. IMHO 3DS Max is far more intuative than anything else ive tried, including Blender, Cinema 4D, Google Sketchup and Wings 3D _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
ok thanks everyone but ive taken a liking to blender 3d. this i still a good post for new people to look at though. _________________ just shut up... QUICK_EDIT
No offence but 3dmax is tens times Wings3d as complexity.
In Wings all you do (and is enough for me) is pull out the vertices, lines, and faces of a cube; you cut lines to obtain more vertices and connect vertices to obtain more lines. That's it. *shows palms*
So, you keep draggin'em till you get a tank. Or a car.
err, all the same principles over all. I am not sure how wings handles things but the mesh seems very dense in terms of poly count. and some edge loops might cause odd lighting issues. _________________ Delirium.. QUICK_EDIT

complexity can make stuff easier if you can handle it. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

Name why it is so complex.

submit your ideas. i need a good model creator.
I recommend 3DS Max. If you take the time to learn it you can really make some awesome stuff. That is if you are even willing even put effort into.
I guess you like Blender though. I've never used Blender, and I don't plan to. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
