YR: Cartographers Call :: Mapping Contest for YR!

Aro, Joshy and Ixith are organizing a quick mapping contest for Yuri's Revenge called Cartographers Call. This is entirely different from any Open Map Competition, specially by its rules.

First of all, only skirmish maps made from scratch and never revealed anywhere are accepted and terrain expansion maps are NOT allowed. The maps will be reviewed by 3 judges (Aro, Joshy and Ixith). Mappers may only submit one map. Unlike OMC, submitted entries may not be changed, except for very special situations. Also, maps must be larger than 85x85.

This contest does not have any symmetry restriction, which means that you may submit tournament looking maps. Each map can be rated up to 100 points, where they'll be distributed in the following way:

20 points for Detail
20 points for Layout
20 points for Lighting
20 points for Game play
20 points for Triggers.

You have until July 10th to submit your map. Good luck and for more details, check the rules of the contest.

The interesting fact is that this is a YR map competition started by TS guys.
Ah nice anyway... who knows, maybe pd opens FA2 once again and ensures there's a definite loser. >.<

and yes pd we are for the most part TS people. However Aro has released some RA2/YR stuff and I have made some RA2/YR maps before but I have never released them.(to the exception of my Ring of Ore map which was a conversion from one of my TS maps) Plus mapping is mapping. Razz
