problem with hex editing

I try to use "Hex editor Neo" for change game.exe for use the custom mix file and language.dll

But It try to change it. I change "Language.dll" to "LangTSTP.dll" and change "EXPAND%02d.MIX" to "TSTPEXP%02d.MIX" and then after I saved. Game.exe not appear an icon and crash when I try to run it.

EXPAND%02d.MIX and TSTPEXP%02d.MIX don't have the exact same amount of characters. That's why the following entrys in your modified game.exe have a different offset than before and the game can't find them anymore.
Use TSTPEX%02d.MIX instead and it should work.

Well for beginning hacks I would recommend you look at This.

Also, I edited the exe for you if you want it. #Tongue I'll attach it for you.

Just note, I named them LangTSTP.dll and TSTPXP. If you named it TSTPEXP it is too long.

^^ Correct, you cant make longer strings unless you move them by editing the game code, so only replace what is there.

OK, Thank every one I change it to "TSPEXP" and it's work now. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

It same in all .ini to if too long or too shot it will crash too.
