The black dots isn't that bad, however I cann't have a closer look, as my PC is packed up, LAN from monday to wedensday. And the normals looks good to. I give it 9.9/10 Great texture, good normals and a great overal qualety. Only down is the dots. _________________ This is a signature QUICK_EDIT

It is too flat. And its edges are boxy. They should be smoother & they need more curves. Other than that it's good. A nice replacement for the FORTRESS.VXL.
Great Detailing & cameo btw

Keep it that way. The way I always get rid of black dots is by filling up the empty spaces in the voxel its self (If you understand what I mean), I don't quite know how to explain it other than filling up the inside of the voxel. QUICK_EDIT
yeah , there's some empty space on that voxel body, thanks for reminding me. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. Last edited by azri_apoc on Sun Sep 28, 2008 5:08 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
Huh? That looks perfect to me. No exaggeration, but its probably one of the smoothest voxels ive ever seen. Ingame it could be mistaken for an SHP. QUICK_EDIT

If you fill the voxel, you'll end up having white dots instead of black ones (at least in RA2)
You should edit the normals of the voxels (I'm talking about the cubes now) that get hidden under/behind other voxels. These hidden voxels are visible when the unit tilts, which they shouldn't be, and thus cause these black/white dots (because of incorrect normal data). _________________ QUICK_EDIT

This is nonsense, you have to fill it with the same color that is visible above that layer. Last edited by Blueguard on Mon Aug 04, 2008 8:56 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT

It's not because of the colour of the voxel. It's because of the messed-up normals. Fill it with black voxels, and it still ends up white. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
then simply reduce the voxel dot distance in the header.
to the voxel
i agree with the others. the wings are a bit too thick and the main hull is too flat. But the texture is great. Except maybe the remap part which sticks out too much. I would prefer some decent lines on the wings. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings

It's NOT because of messed up normals, it's empty space, or holes if you like, inside the voxel! That is what causes black dots. I tried with the same voxel once, one full and one empty. the resolts, the empty was doted to death, and the full one was as smooth as a babys ass. That's the thruth, get used to it! _________________ This is a signature QUICK_EDIT

Give me reasons why it needs to be spotlighted. _________________ 46 106.42
