GIF's

I would like to have go go at making some so how do you make GIF's and what tools do you need

it may sound n00by but i havent a clue how to do it

"Easy Gif-Animator" or Ulead GIF Animator 5 are some decent tools, but not freeware. e.g. i made the gif you've shown there with "Easy Gif-animator"

A complete free Gif tool is Gif-X, but i don't know if there is also an english version.

Depends...

If you want make a gif, a general gif showing whatever you want... I use Macromedia Flash FX 2004.

If you want make a gif where you show your Juggernauts smashing a nod base, download camtasia studio recorder.

looking at some of the you tube vids i can make on with indvidual frames put together in adobe

but for a Juggernaut smashing a nod base gif i would have to or it would be easyer to take a video and convert (and all the other things so i need a video recorder)

I prefer Animake. It's quite old, and I don't know whether there is an english version, but this program is very handy, and consumes only ~5 MB.

It also able to create flash videos, but I didn't try that yet.

The only problem would be, a requierment to make every frame by yourself. But hey, it is free, small - and it works!

id rather not get it if its not free

gufus way is the best if you have the video split in to indvidual stills or the 1st one is different from the 2nd and so on

i could export some of the images in os shp builder and in to photo shop add other things like ground and it should look like its from the game but things like voxel units would be harder to add in (take my sig, it would be hard makeing the mammoth mk2 walk in and shoot the chem spy be for walking off)

at the worst i could by a webcam point it at my screen film them view it in media player stoppin every so often to take a screenshot and build it up that way.
using that way i could only do it at the moment with videos i all ready have / can view(you tube etc..)but not of say my new unit pwning a gdi mk2

There are also websites that make gif! I cant remember one of the good ones but ill have a look and Im sure you can convert Video to Gif.

Try http://video2gif.leechvideo.com/ if you put your video on youtube then it will work. I just try one to see and it worked for me. Wink

im not regesterd with youtube so i dont have any videos on youtube but ill keep it in mind when i record a video (theres nothing stopping me from regersting)

dose any one know any good/free video recorders (since in almost half way there)its the recorder i would need more (im happy if i have to do it frame by frame for adding gifs with thing added by me text, etc..)

EDIT:YouTube Website you can go to that website to learn more on how to use it, like new features it has.

EDIT: If its in-game video capture you want use Fraps, its free last I checked. well I got it free anyway unless they changed which I douth.
