Red Alert 3 Cast...
Subject description: Tanya loves changing her hair colour!
EALA has recently announced their team of holywood stars that will be featured in the next Command & Conquer game, Red Alert 3. Here's the official press release with a movie:
Quote:
Leipzig, Germany - August 20, 2008 - During a press conference at Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, Electronic Arts Inc. today announced the all-star ensemble cast featured in this holiday's highly anticipated real-time strategy video game Command & Conquer Red Alert 3. Starring in the Command & Conquer franchise's trademark live-action movie sequences, the diverse group includes a host of award-winning actors, action stars, science fiction legends, up-and-coming starlets from around the globe and even mixed martial artists.
The cast of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 follows (in alphabetical order by last name): Gemma Atkinson (the UK's Hollyoaks), Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Hunt for Red October), Andrew Divoff (LOST), Kelly Hu (X2, The Scorpion King), Jenny McCarthy (Scream 3, former Playboy Playmate of the Year), Ivana Milicevic (Casino Royale), Jonathan Pryce (Pirates of the Caribbean), J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man, Juno), Autumn Reeser[/s] (The OC), [u]Peter Stormare (Prison Break, Armageddon), George Takei (Star Trek, Heroes), and two of the most recognizable names in competitive mixed martial arts Randy "The Natural" Couture (former UFC Heavyweight champion) and Gina "Conviction" Carano (Undefeated Elite XC fighter, American Gladiators).
"This is by far the most exciting cast we have in over 13 years of shooting live-action movies for Command & Conquer," said Chris Corry, executive producer at EALA. "The caliber of the performances we received, both individually and collectively, have really raised the storytelling bar for the franchise. We are really excited that we will be delivering such a high quality production that is on par with movies and television shows." "I wasn't sure what to expect when I came in to work on a video game," said Jenny McCarthy from the set of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 while playing Tanya, Allied commando and the most beloved heroine in the history of the Command & Conquer universe. "What I realized is Red Alert 3 is not just a video game, it's absolutely an interactive movie. This is where the people at home get to move the story forward, and where seeing the plot thicken is a reward for a job well done. And that's really cool."
"I think video games are one of the new frontiers for actors and using live action is just another way to connect more easily to the gamer rather than CG or animation techniques," said J.K. Simmons from the set of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3, who is playing the anti-Communist U.S. President Howard T. Ackerman. "To be in a groundbreaking game like Red Alert 3 where we are using full on shooting of live actors and to be with Jonathan Pryce, Tim Curry and Peter Stormare, it was a great opportunity for a character actor like me to have some fun."

There is nothing wrong with hot chicks, but you shouldn't fill the story with them...
...meaning that you shouldn't notice the hot chicks. Like Oxanna in TS.
Umagon on the other hand was way too 'noticeable'.
It interrupts the flow of the story, it feels like someone threw a can of "hot chicks" in the editing room after they finished the FMV's. QUICK_EDIT
the majority of gamers are teenage boys. Boobs are like catnip for teenage boys. Sex Sells. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
Only for loners, why would I just want (fake) boobs when I could have the whole (real) girl? _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT

The EALA/ex-EA-Pacific/ex-WW Pacific RTS team did that in RA2 and TW, and they'll do it again now. Granted, they didn't do this in Generals, but there wasn't a story they could have filled with them to begin with, so...
Seriously, FS was the last C&C product with a somewhat decent story, RA2/YR were at least funny, but quite cliché, Generals didn't have any story, ZHs was just an alibi, TWs story was just bad, and RA3 just continues RA2s path.
WW had some serious deficits when it comes to programming and partially graphics too, but in terms of story-telling they did a much better job IMO. And EALA can put as many hot chicks into their videos as they want, that won't change anything about the dumbness of the story. TW has proven that even some decent actors cannot fully compensate for a weak script and story.

Still, at least the FMVs will probably be as much or even more fun than RA2s, so I can live with it. QUICK_EDIT
Don't lecture me about coloquialisms, I live in England, and that scentence was screwey.

Obsession with impracticably clad females much?
That doesn't make proper sense. Obsess over instead of obsession much then it'll be ok, but that is not a scentence, it is a collection of words with a question mark. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT

Don't correct peoples sentences if you cant spell sentence.
And also the video look less cheesy than the game mechanics and that surprised me. _________________ Comcast: Yo dawg we herd yo were downloading, so we put fail in yo modem so yo cant download while yo failin! QUICK_EDIT
I just don't like people misspell what they are trying to correct.
I am really actually starting to like how RA3 is coming out. They seem to be putting alot of work in it this time around. _________________ Comcast: Yo dawg we herd yo were downloading, so we put fail in yo modem so yo cant download while yo failin! QUICK_EDIT
"They seem to be putting alot of work in it this time around." There was a time when they worked on red alert 3 before? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

Heyyyyyy (intentional misspelling), you're right; I almost forgot about that. This game could have potentially been in development for 4 or more years. _________________ Destroy to create. All for the hunt to dominate!
