After their huge ballance patch, EALA has recently released the patch 1.04 for the multiplayer beta version of Red Alert 3 fixing some interface issues. Here's the changelog (thanks CNCNZ):

Quote:
* Fixed a crash on startup on systems with Athlon XP processors.
* Added debugging information, displayed in the chat window, during auto-match searching.
* Added debugging information, displayed in the chat window, during multiplayer game startup. This information should help players identify connectivity problems that result in the "NAT Refresh" message.
* Updated the multiplayer game launch screen.
* Fixed some display bugs in the multiplayer post-game statistics screen.

And it is always recommended to use the auto-update tool at the RA3 Beta Control Center (at the start menu), unless you want to download a 880mb file to patch the game.

I wish they would release a demo for the 360... I've got KW for the 360. You know what, once you get used to the control scheme, the game is enjoyable, and with the cinematics, highly enjoyable. It's good to see Kane again. My computer wouldn't be able to run any of these next gen games.

Is anyone else having trouble downloading the Beta patches?

Even using the auto-update tool in the Beta Control Center, it tries to download the 890+ mb file. Also, the download stops/freezes at exactly 1 minute and 18 seconds remaining with the same specific amount of kb downloaded thusfar every time I try (3 tries so far at varying times of day).

Worked fine for me. The last patch was about 870 or something, maybe you didnt get that one first? That can be downloaded directly from a link on the EA forums.

1.04 includes all the previous patches, thats why its so big.

The auto-update version is only 40mb IF you have the previous patches installed.

I finally got it working but only by manually downloading and installing the patch. The autopatcher still continued to fail on me. I checked the RA3 Beta's Technical Support forums, and it was there that I encountered posts regarding problems with the auto-patcher. Luckily, they had the address for the manual download.
