Video Card
My intergrated graphics works pretty fine and can run all my games at atleat low. However, I would like to set the settings up a little higher, and right now I do get lagg whenever theres a big explosion or something. SupCom runs pretty slow on low and with the smallest resolution. Would this card be a good buy?
I want to keep my price range under 200 bucks, and I remember when 8800 used to be like the best card. So would this card for $150 be a good deal? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

If by display, you mean monitor, I'm ussing a 19inch 1440x900 widescreen. If PSU means ProceSsing Unit (I don't know that much about hardware) I use a 5600+ AMD Athlon 64x2 processor.
My vista gaming score is 3.0
Processor-5.3
Memmory-4.9
Graphics-3.0
Hard Drive-5.7
If I wait until my birthday (Nov 15) will the prices be down even further? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

PSU stands for Power Supply Unit. about the prices it is possible but it won't be by much. If you want real good deals stick to newegg. _________________

You guys couldn't start in a way he could follow... here.
DaFool, open the side panel of your tower, look at the power supply (the large gray thing that has the back end that plugs into your wall) and tell me what the numbers circled in red are on your power supply (you can have the system on when you do this, don't worry);
Now, with the panel still off, look at the motherboard and tell me which one of these slots it has, the red one or the orange one:
Providing these details will give me a clear picture, and thus you the best card for the system. Sound good? _________________

I have the red one open (mine is colored green and located where the orange one is).
My power supply is 250W. The sticker was not organized like yours, so I didn't see those other numbers. But since 250 is kinda low (I think), I'll probably have to upgrade it too. That gonna be like another 100 bucks?
I also have 1 extra slot for ram, but I have 3 gigs right now. The forth probably won't make a differrence, right? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

spend some money on a good PSU, it'll last you.
3GB ram is fine, you'll run everything with that.
and honestly, the HD4850 is the most powerfull sub-200 card you'll get. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

Chiel, let's not go right into the deep end. He doesn't need that much power (also the 9800GTX+ beats the 4850 by a small margin, so I wouldn't call it the most powerful).

Thank you, that was easier than I thought. Here's how this goes, upgrade to this power supply:
You'll stay under 200 with these (as long as they don't charge tax for your state), and you'll get a lot of kick out of that video card. _________________
