No Aftermath and Counterstrike? I guess they will be lost to history like Covert Ops.

For the 15th anniversary they should release the source code for C&C95 and Ra1. #Tongue

Covert Ops isn't lost to history! Covert ops is included in the Windows 95 version of C&C1 (C&C Gold) and it's the Win95 version that EA released. Wink

If there is a button on the main menu that says "New missions" you have covert ops. Wink

No matter how hard you wish, they will never release the internal betas or concept art. There is a chance of the source code (eather heavily edited) or documentation on the game engine for people like pd, VK, DCoder etc to work in par with Syringe. Very small chance though...

Well,now that would be pretty bad Neutral

I'm affraid that if they release that too,the comunity will go a bit more underground,mostly because if its an free game,people won't take in serious thinking out that its an cheap game Neutral

Really? i can walk into a shop now and find loads of copy's on TS under that crappy EA label, SoldOut.

Also not forgeting online its still available, and TFD...

If they don't release it, I will. Just like the C&C95 1.06 patch I'm making will contain the Covert Operations, and will make it playable with any C&C CD, too.

RA expansions can probably easily be edited to play with any CD too, with the same kind of hack... in C&C1 it was simply a matter of replacing the CD check for one specific CD (namely the CO one) by the CD check it does on startup, to see if any valid game CD is in the drive. In C&C1, it can check for disk #0 (GDI), #1 (Nod) and #2 (CO). The check on startup asked the same function to check for "-1". So just replacing the "2" by "-1" at the places where the Covert Ops CD was checked fixed it completely. That system is probably still the same in RA1.

just wait another week or so, and I'll finish the 1.06 patch (even if Hyper doesn't give me the new C&C95.exe I need Rolling Eyes

). It'll have loads of new features and will include the Covert Ops Smile
