Kane is not Kane, he is Cain, as in Cain who killed his brother abel and was doomed forever to walk the earth. and Nod in Hebrew means wanderer, that is why he never dies, he must wander this world for eternity. I'm not up on my bible studies but if I remember rightly he is marked and any man who attacks him shall die. I don't see any mark upon Kucan's head but that may refer to his baldness or maybe it's not that kind of mark.

Given McNeill's ego, he'd show up in the FMV's if he was in the Kodiak.

Well, First Lieutenant Chandra was second-in-charge in Kodiak, so its no wonder you only hear him. Besides, it was McNeal's ship, he simply couldn't leave his duties.

I have some things that are confirmed. The Westwood guys hated McNeil, that's why they killed him off. And he wasn't appearing because westwood would then need to re-hire him for the role. So that's why I think the connection between Kane's stabbing and McNeil's death was unintentional. I also read that what happens to Kane in the TS Nod ending is not the chronosphere, so I very much doubt Kane had any hand with the chronosphere during the entire storyline thus far.

That's correct. However I'm not sure if the other employees "hated" the actor, but I do know the designers didn't like the way the player now had a role played by some actor, instead of the traditional "Commander".
