Can PPM help me with some question?
Subject description: Question about C&C games.
DO NOT GET OFFTOPIC OR SAY INCORRECT INFORMATION. IF YOU DON'T KNOW DON'T SAY SOMETHING IN THIS TOPIC
Question one:
What timeline is command & conquer and the rest of them ?
Generals -"2020?
Red alert 2? 2000? Hope somebody can help me with this. All games.
Question two:
Why is Yuri on Red Alert one?
Question tree:
When Yuri was in Red Alert 1, Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. Do you think we can see him again in Red Alert 3 or something called exp pack?
Question four:
GDSS Philadelphia, why we kill it two times in the series?
Why is it bigger in Tiberium Wars?
Question five:
Will Cabal come back? When you play Tiberium Wars: Kane Wrath's you see Cabal face and try to community with you. You can see him face sometimes. Is it Cabal or ssomthing strange? But he look like Cabal and speak like him.
Question Six:
In Tiberian Dawn( C&C the first) You see a Scrin plane. But on Wikipedia is stay
"The crashed Scrin vessel in Tiberian Sun marked first official appearance of the Scrin in the Command & Conquer universe."
This is not true? Because the white scrin ship in Tiberian Dawn is from scrin?
This is what I come on now, maybe I will find more later.
Let's See ppm can help me with this.

YURI WAS IN RED ALERT one but we killed him in Aftermath:
Yuri and Daniel Molotov
"Yuri and Daniel Molotov were arms dealers who appear in the expansion pack The Aftermath. They betray the Soviet Union and are killed by the player."
- wikipedia.
So how the hell he come back in Red Alert two?
@3:
He in RA 1, RA 2 and YR why not in RA 3 exp pack or something later ?
@4: You sure? Or is the story like that?
@5: Ah
@6: No no, Is a scrin ship, look in the manuel on C&C on N64 _________________ Can you hide from me ? QUICK_EDIT
4.same answer. its up to EA. maybe RA4 is dinosaurs and giant ants. :3
5...
6. No. the people that made the N64 version thought it was, but in actuality it was not. Read around the Petroglyph forums, there are some juicy posts about C&C's past...including stuff about the fabled TD "UFO" .. _________________ Delirium.. 6. False, the terrain piece was a downed aiircraft and never intended to be a "Scrin" ship.
Wasn't it the Stealth Tank wreckage? Renegade had an alien spacecraft on the Temple of Nod level though, it's where you pick up the Volt Gun for the first time IIRC.

It was destroyed only once. The Nod storyline isn't the story C&C3 follows from.
It's maybe bigger in C&C3 because they added more modules and made it larger? _________________

Question 2:
Yuri can't be in RA1, or Kane would have killed him for being too close to Stalin. The picture is probably a fixed picture, maybe Yuri ordered his face on top of Kane's face, since Kane disappears in the RA2 timeline.
The Yuri in Aftermath isn't the Yuri we know.
Question 3:
Doubtful.
Question 4:
In C&C the GDI ending is canon. The Nod endings are never canon. Therefore Philadelphia was only destroyed ONCE. And maybe they putted some extra modules on the station, I mean, they had 17 years for it.
Question 5:
What our purple friend already said.
Question 6:
It's a destroyed Orca. The guys at the N64 fucked up. People asked one of the guys from the original TD team, and it's a downed Orca.
Otherwise it would have been black-n-blue, aye? QUICK_EDIT
1)Generals is "modern day", or as the opening movie says "in the modern world..."
Red Alert 2 in like 70's or 80's. You can kinda tell by the props they have (like old TVs and stuff).
The Tiberium series is the only one that actually uses dates. I think TD was 95, ts 2040's and TW 2050s?
2) they (westwood) obviously photshopped Yuri's head over Lenin.
3) Chonologically, Yuri would have been "under cover" during red alert 1. Then he appeared in ra2 and yr (naturally). So if ra2 got ereased because of ra3, yuri's existence would still be true because he existed before any change was made. However, it is up to the game makers to decide if he will show up in any x-pack or not. To your response: And Yuri is a common russian name, if you kill one dude name yuri, they all aren't erased from time.
4) TW resumes from the gdi victory in ts. You kill the Phili in the nod campaign. So if TW follows the GDI victory, then the Phili still exists.
5) KW was such a cliff hanger, you don't know where they will go with it next. Kane has somehow entered space with the tacitus (leaving that huge cyborg army on the planet), and the scrin are about to invade earth (again).
6) It could have just been an easter egg. It is not totally nessecary that a game follows a logical chronological order. Thats just fan fanaticism. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

And there are rumours that the Stalin+Lenin pic is also edited by Soviet propagandists
1.
TD begins around 1990, TS around 2030, TW around 2040
RA1 around 1950, RA2 around 1970, RA3 around 1980
Generals around 2020 (read your manual for a difference guys, it's says it clearly )
2.
It's doubtfull if that Yuri is the same one. I don't think so...
3.
Might be fun, but then they must re-use the old Yuri character, and not hire a new actor. So I really doubt it
4.
As said, only if you use the Nod TS ending, it's killed twice. But then the whole world would be a Tiberium Planet because of the Tacitus Missile Kane launches then.
Also, why shouldn't GDI update it? It's their HQ
5.
I do hope so, but I doubt EA will make another TW expack when RA3 is released...
6.
It's something long discussed in the community, but I think it's just an easter egg which EA expanded on in Renegade... QUICK_EDIT
Thanks for answer about the years. Is getting confused .
@Hyper: I want to know 100% so if you don't like this question don't post or read the topic? I need help to get 100% know ^.^ What I don't know or have lose in my head so far.
@Clazzy: I mean this:
(Good to have the index for a quick search haha).
But good you say about the Renegade scrin plane. I didn't remember it.
You know what I mean then?
@Rest:
I don't got the manuals more . That's why I need the time line again.

C&C4 and RA4 will have been released by then
What you think will happened in Red Alert 4 and Command and Conquer 4?
The Yuri and Stalin is the picture in mission 6 on soviet side? Don't remember the mission name or the number but I think is one of the last mission on the soviet side. He speak about him and Stalin and then he show the pictures I got print screen about. Strange, if is the same Yuri some die in Red Alert one how he come back in Red Alert two?
Remember, on the Soviet end we see Yuri get attack by a dinosaur but we don't know he killed him or he use a mind control on it.
But Allied keep him in prison why can't he just escape him?. Somebody even want to rescue him I don't know.
And thanks again guys . _________________ Can you hide from me ? QUICK_EDIT

About that "scrin wreckage"... this was discussed on the Petroglyph forums... the old devs said that it was actually suposed to be a helicopter canopy, but it seems that only the artist who made the tile ever recognised that in it.
The people who made the N64 version made the same mistake the community did, and made it into a UFO when remaking the tile for the 3D version.
Apparently the special thanks "for the space ship" thing in the manual was an insiders' joke that was totally unrelated. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
When Westwood made RA1, they didn't have anything to do with RA2 in mind, so that image is most likely photoshopped. EA could claim Yuri was in RA1 if they want to (although I doubt they will), but that still wouldn't change the fact the person named Yuri you see in RA1 was never supposed to be anything like the Yuri in RA2.

Doubt it... Didn't Yuri get eaten by a dinosaur in YR? Although, since they're including time travel in RA3 again, it's not completely impossible for Yuri to make a re-appearance of course...

What Clazzy said; in C&C the "good guy" ending is always followed in the sequel (in the case of TS that was obviously GDI) and the Nod ending is ignored (since the GDI and Nod endings can't both happen of course). So the Philadelphia was only blown up in TW, not in TS.

Yes, it seems like CABAL will be back...

It has been confirmed by ex-Westwood staff that it wasn't a Scrinship, but really a wreck of a helicopter. The 3D N64 version of TD wasn't made by Westwood, but was really just a remake of TD by people who had nothing to do with the original C&C whatsoever. They thought it was a scrinship, which is why they made it look like a UFO, but they were wrong.
However, during or somewhere before TD a Scrinship must have crashed on Earth, since that's where Kane got the Tacitus from. According to Adam Isgreen this Scrinship was supposed to have belonged to some Scrin rebels who stole the Tacitus from their home world, but unfortunately the C&C story never got the chance to go that deep. Maybe EA will still go that deep, but I doubt it since for as far as I know these plans weren't put on paper and EA has their own plans with C&C anyway. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
But Cabal come back is will be funny to see C&C 4 . Or just a new exp to tw..
I hope EA release they can make a deep story about this.
[Doubt it... Didn't Yuri get eaten by a dinosaur in YR? Although, since they're including time travel in RA3 again, it's not completely impossible for Yuri to make a re-appearance of course... ]
We don't see him get eaten, he could just mind controll the whole dinosaur so is not a big problem.
Allied win: Yuri come inside a prison, but when Soviet take the time machine now back, where is he then? _________________ Can you hide from me ? QUICK_EDIT
In the Allied ending of RA2 Yuri is put into a Psychic Isolation Chamber. But with Einstein dead, that chamber will no longer exist, so who knows. And as stated it seems to follow the good ending(when the sequel acknowledges the previous installment). _________________ Comcast: Yo dawg we herd yo were downloading, so we put fail in yo modem so yo cant download while yo failin! How about this one. Soviets go back in time, they kill Einstein. He never comes up with the theory of time travel. Soviets cant go back in time to kill Einstein thus he is alive to create the theory of time travel so the Soviets are able to kill him. _________________ Comcast: Yo dawg we herd yo were downloading, so we put fail in yo modem so yo cant download while yo failin! More like EA will kill of the rts part of Tiberian, and change it in a fps serie.
To be honest I wouldn't even mind, although I doubt they'll really do that. Unlike with RTS games, EA seems to usually take a fairly serious approach with FPS games.

Red Alert always sold better than Tiberian... at least that was my impression.
So it seems. It really puzzles me why the main stream prefers non-serious RTS games... Like the Red Alert series, but also Star Craft and War Craft; although I might be wrong about Star Craft and War Craft being not serious, since I haven't played either game more than just once (their graphics however aren't what you'd call a "serious look" however, aside from most of RA1)... _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Yuri in Aftermath doesn't have anything to do with Yuri in RA2. FYI, Yuri is a pretty common Russian personal name.
As for the photo, Yuri says himself in the briefing that he was part of Stalin's psychic warfare project that was not completed during the first war yet. Thus no psi-corps troopers in RA1. _________________ I am MrFlibble. Just MrFlibble. From the Potato King to Uncle Arnie to MrFlibble. I am his right hand. If you say that, then I can't help you neither. I've got the game, but I've seen no date of when the game plays. All I can say is said in my previous post... QUICK_EDIT
The only hint to a time period is by looking at the props and trying to figure out what year something like that would come out in. For example, they had tv sets in red alert 2 that were made out of wood, so I would sya that took place between the 70's. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
Tell me, have you ever seen a Ion Cannon Satellite in 2008?
This is FICTION, Anderwin! You don't see Mirage Tanks shooting Spectrum Cannons and destroying Hammer Tanks that have magnetic leech beams that steal water splashing torpedo tubes and single-ACC drone-launching-pods do you?
As you said earlier, EA can time machine the time into blablabla. It might even be year 2010, who knows? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
