Scary? No.
Moments when you know that you gonna shit your pants because you are nervous? Mostly in Half-Life games. And STALKER, with its underground levels of course.

Silent Hill, for sure.

although, for some odd reason the Flood from Halo creep the living hell outta me. I don't quite know why, to be honest. Visually they aren't, but i dunno. Just the idea of something splitting my skin and mutating me makes me shudder.

Hah, yeah I was gonna say that. Particularly the bit in the jail cells when you hear mutant Birkin roar. Shit me up. #Tongue

Either that or Resident Evil 3, 'cause after I completed that I was never scared of a game or film again. Annoying really.

Doom. Granted the first time I played it I was like 6 or 7. I can still remember walking into the room with the zigzag path through the toxic waste and hearing the imp roar for the first time. Seeing the monster was frightening in itself, and then having rain fire balls down upon me left me with nightmares. When I picked up the game nearly a decade later, I instantly recognized the room.

Corridor 7 use to scare the hell out of me when I was much younger.

But once I got my hands on that triangular rotating rifle . . . . .

The sound of that thing going off was so satisfying.

Quake 2 when I was like 8, playing it alone in a dark room late at night haha. Some games make me jump but rarely do you get scared from them:P eg, playing stalker and you come across one of those invisible suckers for the first time:P

Edit:

If everything goes as planned, Nightfall will make TS just as scary as Silent Hill... >:3

Not a PC game and not exactly scary as much as startling...
Alone in perfect silence for about an hour and i'm trying to find where that old bastards hiding with a directional mic. So i'm sitting in a bush in first person with my mic pointing stupidly towards a nearby plateau. Turns out he's snuck up behind me so he proceeds to shoot me in the head. I jumped so high i almost hit my head on the ceiling. MGS3.

Hm,I remember that I played Doom at almost the same age as DF(I think I was 8 ).

I just got once scared at "Return to castle Wolfenstein" when the volume was high.

The Cradle from Thief 3. The last part of FEAR got pretty freaky as well though. The original Doom was also scary in its own way.

Alien versus Predator. The atmostphere was quite believable, the lighting was.. err.. dark, and the enemies were lightningfast and would kill you almost instantly..

Alien versus Predator 2. Wasn't quite as dark as the first one, but introduced more subtle cinematic scary moments.

FEAR. Although i only played the demo..

I've never been a big fan of horror genre, games or movies..

I'm with antihero though with the flood though. I've only played the halo 1 campaign, though I still think it's cool that they're still intimidating, despite the low poly.
You'd hear them gurgle and you don't know where it came from.. then *slap* one's right behind you smacking you with its tentacles.
then all the little floods come and eat you while your shield is down
