No wonder some are having problems with it.

Yet again, EA screws up.

Heh, I wonder who will be the first to guess and get someone elses account #Tongue (as it said, very rare but possible)

If you read this article, it has happened only in the US, and only with a small amount of keys. Okay, it's a stupid mistake, but I've seen worse...

It happened to me Laughing. I opted for checking myself rather than calling EA, and luckily for me, it was the second key I checked.

The guy that wrote that article is a moron. The last characters of the key are a checksum, so you can't accidently end up with someone elses key.

Yet the incomplete key is an abysmal failure on the part of EA.

Don't they realize what kind of security problems they unleashed? They told the exact parameters for how to brute force a legitimate key. (Not that it was hard to begin with) The CD-Key generator developers are most likely very grateful for EA's incompetence.

I sincerely hope you're joking. If not, you're as stupid as that guy that wrote the article. Key generators don't brute force keys. To make a keygen you just need to check which part of a key is generated by which other part, and how.

Since one part of a key is generated from another, there simply never are 2 keys with only one character difference. Any key with one missing number can be recovered by trial and error. Duh.
