NathanCNC, with the help of other community members, has created an EPIC Patch 1.03 for The First Decade. This patch fixes many different bugs and adds a number of fixes to the game. Online play has been added to all of the classic titles such as Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert! You also no longer need the disc in the drive to play any of the games!
This patch includes EA’s official Patch 1.01 and Patch 1.02. If you already have these installed, the patch will recognize it, and only add the necessary Patch 1.03 changes.
This patch is unofficial, we cannot help with any specific Patch 1.03 issues, you are download this at your own risk. However, the patch has been used my hundreds of C&C community members, each reporting no errors with any Patch 1.03 specific changes. Thus, we felt the need to promote this at CommandandConquer.com!
Stand-out fixes include updating Red Alert to version 3.03, cleaned up video files to free up nearly a gig of hard drive space, and the integration of extra official Westwood maps from downloadable map packs. Online/LAN has also been fixed for Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, and Yuri’s Revenge. Manuals for all the games have been added with the patch, as well as registry entry fixes. This is just the beginning of all the additions the patch brings to the table!
To check out the full change list and download the patch, check out NathanCNC’s Unofficial Patch 1.03 website! You can also donate to him to help his efforts with the patch. His website contains full details on how to install the patch as well:

This patch is a MUST-HAVE for any C&C: The First Decade Owner!

Really? Nathan did release a new version recently...

Are you talking about this? Because I can't find a download link for that anymore.
This that I've posted about is a second revision, which you'd know if you'd bothered to click the link to the patch's website.
You are behind. And I mean WAY behind. VK's 1.05 patch is now a rather small (but nonetheless important) part of my Project 1.06

I gotta give EA their due, good move of them to support the unofficial patch with a ftp etc. Good news
FTP? The only thing that happened was 2POC putting it in the news... Nathan already had his site, and they just link to it. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
The 1.03 I was talking about I got form the CnC TFD forums before they apparently deleted all of the topics and remade the forum... Nyer, you had a hand in the patch as well... But the one I have which I got a few months ago allowed me to play with out the CDs... And I don't look at EA's forums, mainly because I personally don't like what they do to games... If you want, I can upload the 1.03 patch that I DLed so you can see which one I'm talking about.
Mine just happens to be a file called "tfd-103-rev2-alpha4.exe", if that's the one you are talking about. QUICK_EDIT

Nice of you to clear that up. However I felt it was worth posting since EA's board staff caught on and that in itself is something to pay attention to. _________________

FTP = FILE transfer protocol, so your post kinda implied they offered him hosting space for his patch. Which they didn't
SirModsAlot, the original 1.05 patch (even though it's completely outdated now) can still be found on VK's forum here.
As you may notice in the rest of that thread, we kinda made the first version of the C&C95 hi-res patch there, too (no thanks to VK, though )
In further old news (for the EA forum folks anway), the 1.03 patch was based on my collection of fixes here, and more specifically, on my guide to install, patch & clean up TFD, here. The RA main.mix patch idea was based on Siberian GRemlin's TFD Red Alert main.mix cleanup patch which was posted here at PPM. _________________ Last edited by Nyerguds on Thu Nov 27, 2008 11:42 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT

I know that, but I posted because the 2nd revision got EA's attention, like I said. _________________

Eh? The link you posted to in your second post was only about VK's 1.05 patch. Banshee just labelled it wrongly
I'm not talking about that! I'm talking about my FIRST post! I already thanked you for clearing it up and you keep going on, so why are you? _________________

That link goes to Banshee's news post about VK's TD C&C95 v1.05 patch. I did know where to 'find a download link for that', so I posted it for you. Not too hard to understand, is it? _________________ QUICK_EDIT
