Fan videos on Tiberium Essence? Post yours!
Subject description: The return of Mammoth Mark II is indeed impressive!
I was just browsing EA forums to find out people linking an incredible Mammoth Mark II video in YouTube. Watching closely the video, I've noticed it was a fan movie of the recently released Tiberium Essence, the only C&C3 mod hosted here.
For those who didn't check the links Aro posted below, Tiberium Essence is a modification for C&C3 brings some of the feeling and units from the second tiberium war back to the battlefield, including the Mammoth Mark II below, scorpion tanks with the deploying ability from tick tanks and other interesting things.
I really wonder if there is anything that stops this unit. Totally badass, isn't it?
Now, we offer you a challenge. Make a cool video of this mod, post it on YouTube and link it to us in this topic. The author of the most popular video may get a custom rank in our forums. We'll start a public voting in 15 days. Last edited by Banshee on Sun Nov 30, 2008 12:32 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
There is only one thing that can stop a mammoth mark two.
Another mammoth mark two
driven by.....
CHUCK NORRIS!
And he finds that difficult! :O _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
We can't see what its Hitpoints were by the end of the sequence. That and it has been edited, so we don't even know whether it was all one skirmish. QUICK_EDIT
Excellent video. I certainly hope the person responsible for cutting out the Mammoth Mk II is kicking himself in the balls right now.
Nice to hear Fear Factory again. They're a bit like Tiberian Sun. Their new albums always give us good hopes, and then they rush it and we get horrible shit. QUICK_EDIT

Now that is a great idea Banshee. Now to find some screen-recording software
@ XxpeddyxX: this is from version 1.0, in which it was powerfull. It has been nerfed a bit, but from what I see it's heroic in most of the video, which may explain why it can take on 6 Avatars and a Stealth tank without dying
Also, I'm really interested how the creator of this vid got 2 of them at the end of the vid QUICK_EDIT

Still, you don't see a heroic avatar annihilating an entire group of predators, see my point?
And relating to screen-recording software;

If you have Windows XP, you can record with CamStudio, it's free and pretty good utility (also I have seen some shareware scren recorder which adds text in the middle of the video). But it has one weakness, it's sound recording system DOESN'T WORK WITH SPEAKERS ON VISTA, stupid Vista (it was just turn to help software making gigants grab more money on expensive software, other ways to make videoshots on Vista is one illegal or bad quality of recording). I really look forward to the end of this term on university, it will be spent with reinstalling, probably (1st Linux then maybe XP then Vista). _________________

This is absolutely amazing, i have no idea what my mod can cause but it´s always good to see people have fun with it. For me is that best reward.

Sounds like a way to abuse it...
1.- Build a Mammoth MK II inside your base.
2.- Destroy it.
3.- Build another MK II.
4.- Repeat as many time you want.
5.- Capture the husks.
6.- Obliterate the enemy.
Anyways good mod can't wait to try it . But fix this exploit. QUICK_EDIT

4 Banshees are enough to kill it. However they must attack fast enough to prevent health restoration via the Mammoth's self-healing, or the Mammoth may survive with a bit of health.
