Heres the first ingame preview of the fully complete TSR cameos

heres a screeny of the nod set (note the screenshot itself many things will have changed in the release version)

Um... the heavy tank is the Soviet Mammoth Tank (it has the red star in it)??
Also the the the power plant in APP icon should be moved up a little.
I think we should use use the EMP Cannon render icon instead of the blurry scanned image.
And I think my version of the Nod Helipad looks much better. It doesn't look like it was directly ripped from TD.
Recon bike icon should be mirrored so it is facing same direction as other vehicles.

Is the building time dial now red for Nod and gold for GDI?

two comments:

1. PLEASE give us an UNCOMPRESSED image of the icons only

2. If you're adding smoke to all buildings, it'll seriously lag the game if bases start getting bigger.

Particle systems lag the game.
Only the Con Yard uses particle systems and the image used for creating smoke effect is really small in size. Rest are animations.

Yea animations are ok. Just have some of them can only be vewed at high graphics detail. It would also help people with slower computers. I admit I have to lower the graphics detail on some large maps and when there are lots of players with large bases. On the camos I also agree that the Emp icon looks to blery, all the units should face the same direction to keep with a them, and I like SeaMans helipad cameo. I would also like to ask if it is possible for each side to have build time dials differnt colors like SeaMan asked.

oh yes i forgot the differences between particle smoke and ani overlay smoke... yeah only particles lag the game really, true. (the railgun even slows an athlon 1.2 down...)

GDI and Nod will have seperate time dials, GDI's will be either gold or green. Seaman, I don't know for sure, but I'm betting that the helipad is staying. Seriously, it may be from TD, but it looks good. Mirroring the recon bike doesn't seem like that big of a deal, SMIFF might do it and he might not.

And TheDVD, why do you need an uncompressed image of the icons? We don't want anyone to steal them... Though I'm sure none of the sophisticated modders in this board would do so. *glances to the left and to the right*

Venom, I can't speak for SMIFFGIG, but I'd say your chances of getting these icons are slim to none. SMIFF really worked very hard on these, I don't think he's just gonna pass them out to everyone, I'm pretty sure they'll be exclusive to TSR, at least most of them.

*yoink* lol, no seriously make your own, theres plenty of images out there, and if it comes down to it and you have to spend as long as Smiff colleting them then at least you can look at these and think how good yours will be.

i don't want to steal any of them, but just looking at the pic (which is compressed i think) my ones look much sharper. so i was wondering if they looked so unsharp in TSR? I doubted that and wanted some proof Wink

btw seaman, how do you add particle systems to UNDAMAGED buildings? (construction yard)

the Cameos look very sharp ingame Smile

and that EMP was an experiment to see how the really old Beta cameo looked

however i am now using the far better quality Nod EMP

In that pic the light infantry, heavy tank, nod helipad and rocket infantry have already been vastly improved

Thats why I asked, I knew it probably wasn't worth asking but I thought i would give it a shot. I don't steal other guys artwork mainly because I like to keep my friends and my life, and I'd much rather keep the death threats to a very low minimum, and besides I could use a little practice of my own in cameo section there

well i've you can cut and paste in photoshop or paint shop pro and find some renders on the net... it won't be too hard to get the kind of cameos that smiffgig and i have...

Actually this has been a major task for me, as not only have i had to make many of the cameos that have no hi-res pics that exsist of them

but i also have had to find many extremely rare pics of Tiberian sun units and buildings etc
Repair Bot and Nod Power plant are only ones that spring to mind

if you could make the bottom one look a little more clearer like the ground and the unit it would look great, but right now its kinda hard to seperate body from tire

Some of them are really great, but some others... I really think it needs some work...specially Tiberium Refinery (a bit blurry, at least the screenie) and Power Turbine (excessive un-needed colour change in a single picture)... but some others are excelent like the Titan and Wolverine and many others... Keep ya nice job Smile.

Russian Roulette.

And don't mind the tiberium colors, it was a side effect of testing RA2 colors (Smiff asked to do that).

there is one cameo that really reminds me of aliens, you know how they hover over something and they have bright lights, well it looks like the light tower is about to be abducted.
