question about building civil buildings

so im wanting to give GDI and NOD guard towers, buildings that they place troops inside as defences.

the only buildings that look right to me for that are civilian.

now ive tried switching the art files in the xml of the custom building, making a copy of the tib silos from both GDI and NOD but no matter what i do, the buildings always end up being invisible, and unselectiable.

what would cause this?

Civilian stuff is in a different data stream than the team stuff which can explain the invisible. Did you use BuildMod.bat or BuildModCivAsset.bat? You should be using the second one.

Have you just tried adding the tower/bunker to the LogicCommandSet.xml instead of using the art to make a whole new structure?

Like under id="GDIConstructionYardCommandSet"> add <Cmd>Command_ConstructCivBunker</Cmd>

ive tried many things and figured that i just did some thing wrong.

right now i have the building its self in there, and i was only using the first one.

i had also thought that it would have only mattered if i was trying to change civilian stats or some thing, like the number of slots for inf or what ever, not making a new building.

but oh well, i will check that out too.

is there any thing else that comes to mind that might mess it up?
