The Terror Drone

I've been working on the Union terror drone, and I thought I'd share it with you. I was wearing of how complex I was going to make this unit, because it's basically an infantry (in regards to animation) thats a vehicle. Four legs and stuff. I tried to keep the poly low. Anyways it looks ok imo, and it represents the drone closely.

But for the coding... I don;t really know what I should do with this guy. I don't think making it jump into vehicles, kill them, and jumping out will really work in ZH. I could have it just run up and do some damage, or something similair to that (same applies to the Soviet drone). But right now it can do it's secondary ability; emp a single unit. And it works pretty well ingame too (ofcourse I don't have a working ai to use it against). Any suggestions?

Not yet. It like, just slides along. But animation will come eventually. Remember, one man assembly line.

I'd help if I knew how to animate, but I don't, so I won't.

RA3 is awesome BTW. If you want to play a game or two against me I wouldn't argue. #Tongue

Why not give the Drone the hijack ability?
It'd jump in and take control. It wouldn't be the same as the real thing, but would still fit into the game and occupy a specific niche.

Now that would make them epic and even more irritating then normal. I like this idea.

Then the price would need to be epic as well, unless they were to move slower than the original terror drones.

Nah, miniscule health could balance it out - you could only use them against preoccupied units or unguarded resource collectors.

There's plenty of things they could do
-Completly hijack
-Kill the driver (and just leave the unoccupied vehicle there)
-EMP the vehicle
-Act as like a terrorist->blowing up and doping some damage

If it can hijack, then it might not be too much fun early game when you don't have alot of units, save your dozers. I'll look into the possibilities.

Just like hijack, but with better drawbacks.
