Okay, there are 3 tags which I am unsure as to what exactly what they do. I have a guess as to what tyhey do but I want to verify before I make any extensive change to my .INI's

Naturally I checked ModEnc, Google and PPM but I didn't get anything useful.

Can someone please clarify the effects the following tags have:

1. UseBuffer=[BOOLEAN]
2. DisableVoxelCache=[BOOLEAN]
3. DisableShadowCache=[BOOLEAN]

I am unsure what 1 does. Can someone please explain?

I am GUESSING that 2 and 3 (if set to YES) prevent the voxels/shadows from being put into cache, thus improving game performance. Is this correct? Can someone verify/correct this.

thanks for your time guys.

BTW, these tags are located in ART(MD).INI

Have you checked the stock art file? Westwood's staff left quite a few comments for tags.

They're for buffers and caching. The tags are pretty much self-explanatory in the first place. Find them used in the art file and see what they might do from there.

Yeah, I saw this, I should have mentioned that.

Well, I will just assume these two tags will free up cache space (if set to yes) and thus improve game performance.

I may leave the buffer tag alone.
