I've been searching and searching all over the place for some good RA2 mods (not YR mods)

All I've found are Filefront downloads and well I don't wanna pay to download mods

Does anyone know where I can download some good mods for RA2?

Most modders prefer to work with Yuri's Revenge rather than Red Alert 2 as it offers a lot more possibilities (and it's just simply better), so I doubt you'll find many finished projects around that only require Red Alert 2. Anyway, ModDB offers a good selection, I did a search for Red Alert 2 projects, though there wasn't many decent ones that appeared and a lot of them required Yuri's Revenge anyway (Somethings buggy with the ModDB search tool). http://www.moddb.com/mods?filter=t&=Search&kw=&released=def&style=def&theme=def&game=44&type=def

yeah I decided to play YR anyway and found some good mods for it..

as for downloading free from file front well everytime I try to download from that site it takes me to a page that want me to sign up for a monthly subscription...

are you sure you are not mean Fileplanet? Even downloading from Fileplanet is free (just click on the small sign up link)
