Ok once again I need some help.

I want to create a toad like tongue projectile. Hence the grabbing logic needed for infantry. However, this is my first attempt at making a projectile and I am unsure how to make a tongue that continuously appears coming from the firing unit and hitting the grabbed unit. Basically I want to replicate the magnetron beam but with a skinnier pink beam at the very least.

Any ideas? I hope the answer isnt something stupidly simple. Im thinking It could possible work similar to tesla projectiles but like I said I dont have a clue yet. Ill research it while I wait for ideas.

He wants a weapon that can grab infantry like a Magnetron grabs vehicles. It's a shame this is impossible because infantry aren't vehicles...

Ok i was tired at the time I wrote that.

Ive already turned all infantry into vehicles and Ive got the magnetron pulling them. What I need to know how to do is make a continuous animation that looks like a tongue is grabbing the person.

I was going to settle for pink laser but it doesn't fire continuously. Browsing through basic rules file I don't see anywhere that I could modify the magnetron magnet beam's color or size. I'm hoping its a .shp graphic but I haven't seen a reference to one

So to summarize what I need help with is I need help figuring out how to make a small continuous beam that's small and pink to emulate a frog tongue. Anyone have any ideas?

mag beams are not editable in default YR... However they will be in ares, but you'll have to wait for that...

Ok well for now, my solution is to make it shoot a laser that looks pinkish. And im altering the speed the unit is pulled and elevation with the unit specific jumpjet controls. Surprisingly to me the jumpjet controls work =D. So im going to make the speed real fast so the player wont notice the laser isnt continuous like a frog tongue
