I downloaded and installed TFD 1.03 4th revision when it was released and I haven't been able to play TS since. I use a modified rules.ini, and if I remove that one, the game works fine. However, I recall not noticing this before installing the 4th revision of TFD 1.03.

So, the problem is, that the game freezes on "Gathering Intel On Involved Factions" in the loading screen. No, it is NOT a broken HVA, how else would removing the rules.ini help?

I'm not really willing going to upload the file (not saying any of you guys would find anything interesting and rip it, but hey; it's the interwebz), but seems like I have no choice.

Sorry but I don't understand what you mean. What is the main question? Are you trying to ask what is the problem in the rules.ini?

He's asking if TFD1.03 Revision 4 makes this mod crash and why...

Try the xcc clt integrate thingy with the original's rules and the modified rules. That way, it'll be easier to find the cause.

Ninja'd!

I think you added new units to the game. Did you? I had the same problem before too.

All I'm asking is help to solve this so I can continue with my project(s).

Never heard of that, but thanks, I'll try it...

Don't think this changes anything between your heretism and my ultimate knowledge!

Then, try looking into the 'differences file'. It'll be much easier to locate because all that's left is the changes to the original rules.ini.

You will fall as others have fallen before you!

Problem solved, it was the "expand02" (contains the "missing" Firestorm cutscenes) mix that TFD 1.03 installed into my SUN folder. This mix replaced (without authorization) a previous mix file with the same name, that contained a couple of debris voxel arts.

So, if any of you guys receive this error in future and you're sure it has nothing to do with missing HVA files, check that your voxel debris entries have their voxel files found.
