Subject description: Delete this if its old...(I'm just a curious newbie)
Forgive me if I am bring up an old(or very old)topic but what are your favorite computer(not console or handheld) games? _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten!
Half life (1 & 2)
C&C TD-YR (ZH is ok, C&C 3 is mediocre and I don't like RA3)
Sudden strike (By Fireglow/CDV)
A path beyond (C&C renegade conversion)
Can't think of more ATM. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT

A Path Beyond, TD - RA2YR (mods), some Generals mods (Contra, Rise Of The Reds,...), probably some TW and RA3 mods, Emperor:Battle For Dune, Dune2 (with clones), Stronghold Crusader, Age Of Empire 2, Warcraft RTS series, etc. _________________
Don't blame the others if you haven't checked your own (in)ability in the first case. QUICK_EDIT
Age of Mythology - It really surprised me. I was expecting another Age of Empires. It was, but sooo much better, and with monsters.
Tiberian Dawn Red Alert Tiberian Sun (and Firestorm)
Red Alert 2 (and Yuri's Revenge, to some extent)
Marathon, and later incarnations thereof.
Masters of Orion Heroes II, and Heroes III - I liked the original Heroes, but II and III were more enjoyable, imo.
Discworld
So really, lots and lots of RTS.
The first C&C I played was TS, then I played RA2, and then RA and TD.
All of the games on the list have one thing in common, unlike many games I can see sitting next to me, I still play and enjoy these ones.
Which reminds me, I'd better try and find my C&C3. QUICK_EDIT
ePSXe with my Armored Core disk sorta cheated but it IS on the PC at that point.
EDIT: On a sidenote, if anyone knows how to get ePSXe to get system link to work with Hamachi, please PM me
EDITEDIT: This was all done legit, I own the game and a playstation and I used my Playstation's BIOS. _________________ Comcast: Yo dawg we herd yo were downloading, so we put fail in yo modem so yo cant download while yo failin! QUICK_EDIT
Far Cry
All Command & Conquer games prior to Red Alert 3 (and maybe TW, although I own that too)
Commander Keen series (the best platform games evar)
Liero Xtreme (Gosh, a worms clone :p)
Consoles (I don't own one atm, unfortunatelly):
Kingdom Hearts for PS2
Halo 1 & 2 (omg wut r Halo for?)
SSX for PS2
Gran Turismo 3 for PS2
Yep, they are all kind of old, I haven't really played any new games. _________________

C&C1 - Generals
Left4Dead
Team Fortress 2
Fallout 3
Call of Duty 1 - 4
I think this is it. I have many more games, but don't play them that often anymore, or aren't that great after some playing (looks at TW/RA3)... QUICK_EDIT
I didn't post anything in a while so here are my favorites(theres not much though)
CnC RA2/YR,Generals/ZH(I never played the older cncs except the two psx conversions(RA1 and Retaliation))
Need For Speed 3:Hot Pursuit(one of the best of the nfs series.Don't like the idea of how nfs moved on to those tuner crap:/)
Carmageddon 2:Carpocalypse Now(a great "racing" game that allows you to destroy rival racers demo derby style and also to run over pedestrians(gulp!).Also one of the earliest games to have an open world environment and also real-time damage effects.)
ROAD RASH!!!(damn I loved this old DOS game!I get to hit cops off their police bikes(not to mention other bikers too)I also played the two newer road rashes(3D and Jailbreak)which are for the psx.Wished EA could revive this old game...) _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten!

Tiberian sun (not Firestorm)
Red alert 2 / YR ( I really dont like red alert 3)
Tiberium wars (with Tiberium Essence)
Fallout 3
Saints row 2
Battlefield 1942 & Vietnam

Blitzkrieg
Cuban Missile crisis
Penumbra ( all series )
Wings over Vietnam & Europe
GTA Series
Doom 3
Far Cry 1 and 2
Sudden Strike 2
Renegade (with all kinds of mods)
Kanes Wrath
Age of Empires 2
CC generals + zero hour
- Half-Life Original, Opposing Force and Blue Shift
- Armored Core 2 + Another Age
- Almost Everything from the Sonic the Hedgehog series
- Anything from the C&C Series, Mainly Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge
I loved the original Half-Life's and most of the other expansions for it too, including one called Redemption which was... Short, but fun. I've never been a fan of Half-Life 2 though. Armored Core 2 and Armored Core 2 Another Age are the best games from the Armored Core series, especially Another age, these games aren't that popular, which is a shame cause they are truly brilliant, my favorite game. I've loved Sonic the Hedgehog since I was a kid and I still enjoy playing the classics from time to time, especially Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Last of all, anything form the C&C Series, from Tiberian Dawn to Generals, anything after Generals I'm not really fond of and don't want to buy, or even play for that matter. QUICK_EDIT
Aro, I'm sorry but HL2 is brilliant. HL1 is good but 2 is just as good. if you feel it lacks mp5/m4ness or any other firearm then go get Smod redux. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
Personally I liked the continuation. But it's a free country. Gotta admit that they did good by not retconning anything or adding characters you were supposed to have met. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
hmmm... StarCraft, Red Alert, SimCity 2000.
I liked the rest of the C&Cs, even Generals through Uprising but I didn't play them nearly as much as those. QUICK_EDIT

People can think what they want about racing games but I ABSOLUTELY HATE THEM. (I am a treehugger and don't like anything that wastes gas) Until NASCAR has a solar-powered Indie 500 I won't step down. _________________ Don't throw me into the briar patch.

You're not actually producing carbon monoxide when you're playing racing games. And besides, you'd be wasting electricity while playing your computer games. _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten!
Herin lies the problem. Stop hugging the effing trees and start finding alternatives.
Also I <3 GTA
Fallout 3=win
Secret weapons over normandy (PS2) is fun
MOH:Underground introduced me to the concept of the FPS. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT

I'm smelling bullshit and flame bait, please step around the flaming pile of baitshit, wait what?
Anyway, GTA IV on PC is awesome if you have the behemoth of a gaming rig to run it on max settings _________________ Comcast: Yo dawg we herd yo were downloading, so we put fail in yo modem so yo cant download while yo failin! QUICK_EDIT
Pokemon!! (Does that count??) I'm 16 and I still play the stuff.

Hmm, let's see, ordered by genre:
PC:
RTS:
-Tiberian Sun (followed closely by TD).
-Red Alert (the original is the best).
-Emperor: Battle for Dune (Yay!, non mirrored houses).
-Starcraft (waiting for II, and it's still fun to play with friends).
-Battle Realms (I really need to find this game again).
RPG:
-Diablo (I and II, eagerly awaiting for III)
-Baldur's Gate II (I'm afraid to replay it, it consumed too much time)
FPS:
-DooM II (3 was somewhat boring, and didn't give me nightmares).
-Starwars: Republic Commando (Where's my Imperial Commando?).
TBS:
-Civilization (Dunno which one, though I'm leaning to 3 or 4).
Action:
-GTA: Vice City (by GTA:SA, things start to get too silly).
Console:
Platformer:
-Megaman Series (specially the Zero series, MANLY TEARS).
-Donkey Kong Country (2 is the best).
-Yoshi's Island (lovely art style).
-Metal Warriors (I played this way too much in the versus mode).
RPG:
-Phantasy Star IV (Alys , though still has a happy ending).
-Seiken Densetsu 3 (I should really replay this).
-Final Fantasy VI (yes 6, not 7). QUICK_EDIT
LCS is nothing compared o IV, or SA TBH, PSP limitations like the annoying free-aim and auto-targeting mean it's better to at least have l2 and r2 to shuffle targets like in sa. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
Also, Driver 1 is superior to Driver 2, though Driver 2 had better bugs and other stilly things. Like buses reversing through buildings in Havanna, Chicago water is just endless sky... QUICK_EDIT
There are two games I could play foever without tire; Civilization (2 or 3, basically same thing with different anim) and Yuri's Revenge. Mostly everything else comes and goes, but those two are constant. Halo 1 and 2 are also in there, but I don't have alot of people to play split screen with (or know anyone who's even a match for me).
I have also expanded my PC gaming recently, as I am a PC gamer this 'generation', as opposed to when I was an xbox guy. So I'm playing fallout 3 and Team Fortress 2. I don't know if these will become my classics or not.
Oh yeah, Doom FTW! _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
What? The entire GTA series is epic. It has the ingenious combination of tough missions combined with the choice to freeroam, just exploring the limits.
San Andreas especially, the options seem infinite; even when it seems all has already been done, there are records to beat, little sub missions, etc.
