Bridge
Subject description: (and not the game your grandmother plays)
I'm just about to go to bed, but recently I was thinking about the maps that I will make, and the thought of bridges inevitably came up. So, does anyone know if destructible bridges are a possibility? And furthermore, would you want destructible bridges?
I know killing a bridge stragically has saved me a couple of times, but sometimes getting an engineer in that hut can be a pain. And generals might be buggy, even if it is possible. I was playing ra3 the other day and destroyed a bridge, and the others guy''s army just went down the cliff and through the water anyways, and popped right back up on my side of the cliff.
I'm going to bed soon, I'll see if some comments pop up tomorrow. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
Destroyable bridges would be nice, but not entirely necessary.
The whole point of amphibious units, and there usually shouldn't be many, is that they can disobey the normal rules, and circumvent the troubles of a unit confined to the land. QUICK_EDIT
Bridges can be made to be destroyable, but getting them repaired is another story. One possibility is the GLA hole logic so that it rebuilds after a certain amount of time. This would require that the bridge be a set length though. QUICK_EDIT
hmmm, what about map triggers/scripts? Unit type enters building, unit dies, spawn the bridge. And then add a few arguements like not if the bridge is alive. Sound logical enough? And then it can be edited on a map to map basis. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
