Subject description: View all terrain pieces that will be in the TI Interior Theater.
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Having lots of free time recently I thought it would be cool to get back to work on the planned interior theatre. Joshy made a sweet little return and posted some models for the Interior theatre such as the power coils in the image below. Temperate theatre is almost finished, just a few fixes on some terrain tiles need to be made and the cliffs and dirt roads still need replacing, other than that it's finished. Here is a small preview of the Interior theatre so far.

(Power coils by Joshy, terrain tiles by me)

This theatre is still in it's early stages but more work will be posted soon. I've got loads of plans for the next week which are of course my usual antics, beer, sex, and chilling with the lads of course.

The Interior theatre will be limited to the campaign and some game-mode maps (which will be explained another time and not now). More to come soon.

I love you guys, seriously I always wanted interior theater in a game/mod
It doesn't look very inside but I guess the walls will determine that #Tongue

Looks more like a dungeon (as long as there are techy tiles too, then doesnt really matter) and the buildings are way too blurry but looks good otherwise.

Also if you want interior play RA1. #Tongue

ooooh- nice, yeah buildings could be sharper but at the same time the blurriness makes em look deep underground such as games like bauldur's gate at the same time. who made this btw?

Fuzzy buildings make sharp voxels look bad. Also, makes them look bad. Terrain is good.

Erm, is this undergound or above ground structure/warhouses/edens?

If its underground, there should be large Tiberium crystals to show the underground mutation and growth.

I like the idea of interior levels in TS. Smile
Some ideas for the walls: Electric wires and gas pipes, computer pads and a closed gate.

It is underground facilities so don't worry about that. I plan on having some thorn tiles here too, huge ones sprouting from the ground.

Walls. Don't forget concrete walls demolished by invading thorn tentacles.

Don't worry, the walls (cliffs) are of top priority, I think Joshy has started modelling some (I think Frankie may be doing something too, not sure yet though).

Mhm, Civilian Gates which are indestructable and just open after you did something special (Trigger, changing House from 'neutral' to 'special') #Tongue That would be awesome... Wink

Nice!

It was int the Emperor: Battle For Dune when I saw interior terrain for the first time in RTS (I mean that Guild ship).

Both StarCraft and Red Alert 1 had interior terrain...And those games came before E:BFD...

Unfortunately, interior theater brings less of a chance of large Tiberium patches...

As I said in the opening post, this theater is limited to the campaign and some certain game modes, no need for Tiberium. There will be certain tiles of Tiberium sprouting through the ground however.

The power plant looks much better now.
The generator fits in perfectly with the terrain and power station.
The terrain is something different than what we saw in Red Alert but I do like it.
No need to be xenophobic as the whole team is talented. Smile

my only suggestion is perhaps change the colour scheme to something else not majorly dirt like. It would make your work stand out more, especially from playing temperate maps.......

I see big-ass crab/moster thing with a pair of huge cables going into it's head. I'm guessing it's the origin of the thorns and is being controlled by (insert faction here), probably Nod or a splinter group tho.

And no, that looks almost nothing like a TD ref, TD refs didn't have abominations of nature attatched to them out front.
