Read the title, I used Stygs'/Chriz's GDI unit remakes so make sure you credit him as well, I made it to fit in with the original icons of TS, since I'm replacing the disruptor to get rid of waveclass errors (the ddraw doesn't work for me, prevents TS from loading). Includes one without a background and resizes so the mammy doesn't fill the whole icon, use SHP builder's Cameo Generator since it automatically resizes it.Enjoy Smile

It looks very pixely.
I would suggest you use one of the many mammoth renders instead of a voxel editor/viewer screenshot.
Or add some more work in photoshop to reduce the unclean pixel look.

Well I was looking for something quick, not necessarily perfect, but overall it seems to fit with the other TS icons. Yeah it is pretty pixelated, that may be because I croped it out of a screen shot. Voxel Viewer would of gotten the lighting wrong. I would touch it up but I don't have Photoshop.

A image editing/creating program like MS pain-t(o use) would work.

MS-P is alright, not great but alright.

I don't think it really need enough touching up to worry about. It is kind of pixelated but I don't know how to go about fixing it, I'm just not a SHP expert. As I said this was really just a 5 minute slop together to get a mammy icon that fits with TS and as far as I can tell it does, except it could use some more lighting to get it to fit with say, the Titan icon. That would take a bit of time and skill which I don't have, if anyone is willing to fix it they can post it with and take credit(my part in it would be so minimal to worry about).

GIMP is free and can do much more than paint. Wink

A simple trick would be, if you take a screenshot of the voxel viewers or VSEs 3d view in a quite high resolution and then scale it down using a good scaling method. This should make the surfaces already quite smooth.
If you touch up the big image before, it should give an even better result.

By high resolution do you mean my PC resolution or just close to the voxel?

I've heard about GIMP, is it really good or just a minimal improvement?

make voxel big in relation to screen. Printscreen. Make shiny. Shrink to cameo size. Put in cameo. Put ingame. ?????. Profit!

Personally I don't like it, just too plain bright.

Gimp has many filters and other great tools,
it's like Photoshop 1-2 years ago.
You can turn down the brightness, turn up contrast, change colour, etc. Wink

Yeah, it seems very complex, its gonna take time for me to get used to it though, I can use Ms paint and Photoshop CS3 (due to school classes).
