Subject description: my last mod attempt...truly is the last stand. Might not make it(HDD problem)

Oki... so here I go again, hopefully it'l work out this time.

The mod is supposed to bring back the old RA, by that, I mean the whole feeling, not a exact replica. I want to bring back the harshness, the brutallity, the hardcore-ness that the old C&C had. But It's gona be all in my style...

4: sides- The Brotherhood of Nod
- GDI
- Allies
- Soviets

More on the story shortley.

It's a continuation of a mod already underway here in ppm(should be easy to figure out).

Firstly: you guys have seen some of the work in the Top secret topic in Media hut.

Here are the first few things for the announcement, you have not seen these yet.

You will notice that most things are WIP, coz I work things over and over until Im happy...

Don't worry, I'll get the GDI and NOD thing to work...If it doesnt I can just dich the 2 sides at any point.

1 question tho...with snow buildings and temperat ones, does it work the same as TS or do you have to make 2 of the same buildings.

you can make 2 of the same building or you can use the unitxxx.pal with the desrt or the snow colors from TS....

No need to clone code, its just SHP file name. Same as TS.

GABUILDING = arctic
GTBUILDING = temperate
GGBUILDING = works for all, so no need to have so many clones
GD = desert
GU = urban
GN = new urban
GL = lunar

Might have made those last two up, who knows?

thanx...here is the reworked Allied helipad, almost done...needs anims and buildup(wich I don't know how to do)

Also that snow terrain as had a tiny bit more touch ups done to it, will show later, you'l hardly notice tho.

TBH Allies should get Airforce Command and more modern-like aircraft...
Otherwise, this mod looks like it's gonna be awesome.

lol...The allies will have high tech stuff from the beginning thats their advantage(does not mean that they are the most advanced, trust me on that). That helipad is just for refueling and ammo.

I'll talk about each sides steangths later on. Nobody is gonna be panzy in this mod, Rambo vs Rambo.

Edit: if you are worried about their aircraft, here is a fighter. Its still in the design stage, not sure this is one i'll use, but you get the idea.

No... its boring... and it's not the story that binds things together ingame.

2 factions makes it easier to finish. If there has to be another then I would revive Yuri. His army had a very cool look and could be done well, if made an even darker faction.

Yuri?....in this mod?, No frackin way, not in your dreams, not even in my dreams!.

GDI is technically part of the allies, so things are made a little easier. It's the brotherhood, that might be problematic.

Relax it shouldn't be that hard.

Oki doki...here is the medium tank and its cameo, it only comes in teir 2 for the reds. I will explain that later as I said. not sure what weapon to give it, supposed to have two. Both are on the main turret, its actually got two barrels if you can't see.

Its changed a little from the one I posted before.

Cos if u follow ww canon, GDI is basically result of allies forming echo or whatever and Nod is a emerging from the ruins of a destablised soviet union or whatever.

Well...this is not gonna be one of those mash up mods. Also there won't be any time travel. There won't be any mind control crap either or flying pancakes with lasers.

Lots of planning do'nt you worry, I have some help with that also.

There will be the usual stuff like tesla and cloaking and shiz like that though.

Gdi are formed pretty much like they were supposed to. They are very covert here though. Nod also form out of the Soviet union, but mainly in the east like china(and some parts of the middle east). The Soviets, lets just say they make a run for it as they lose the last war. (I'll tell you the specifics later, where they run to etc..)

I always figured Nod would get thier start in the military road as mercenaries and guns for hire. They'd use the money they got from that to start building up thier...well themselves and then later explode onto the global scene. Like, most of thier units use older equiptment and stuff that can be easily obtained built (like thier lower tiered infantry and things like the buggy). I bet that most of thier higher stuff would come after the tib meteor hit and they began harvesting.

Hmm thats the most beautiful and original Nod logo I've seen. Love the colours and the scorpion looks great. IMO doesnt need to be mirrored.

The Nod logo is awsome. Good original design. The use of analogous red colors makes the Nod foreground pop out. The pink inner triangle could be lighter.

Maybe its because of the eye, maybe the wing, maybe the tail, maybe all of them. I don't know. It just has something about it which is a little 'off'. Like the piece of a dream which tells you that its a nightmare, but I don't know how to phrase it.

Maybe its because of the eye, maybe the wing, maybe the tail, maybe all of them. I don't know. It just has something about it which is a little 'off'. Like the piece of a dream which tells you that its a nightmare, but I don't know how to phrase it.


Now that you mention it the allies are not as nice as they used to be in the mod. They still the good guys though.

The way you put it made me like it a bit more lol(evil laugh).
I might goodify it a bit, over some time.
