Laughing It's an okay size ingame, doesn't really fit in with RA2's stock voxels but, something more like the voxels in Moscow's Vengeance (though this won't be used in it)

It lacks many details, however this voxel can be nice in the end.

I tip it's long like body of that MW Mammy and higher a bit.

White edges are ugly, and the sphere is all but spherical. What isn't mentioned here or above doesn't need altering, IMO.

your dome has only 1 metal ring, while the original has 2 #Tongue

But it's still really good.
with some better normals and texture it could be spotlight worthy
However to be perfect it needs an additional cool chargeturret anim. Wink

Twin metal rings made it look kinda ugly...

It's a shame I don't know how to paint normals though! Maybe I'll try and learn now... Sad

The texturing could also use some work, but I haven't had the time right now to do that

I think the Ra1 (Counterstrike version) Tesla Tank was the coolest looking unit in the game.

This looks good but the pointy dome annoys me.

The Aftermath and Counterstrike TTs were supposedly the same, both with a Radar Jammer body (though the one in Aftermath was bigger than a radar jammer) both a half track with a tesla coil mounted on the back. Anyhow aren't those rings basically the tesla coil since logically that dome doesn't do much? If so it would be nice if you could somehow get the second ring in there, however if it just keeps making it look stupid, froget it. I'd rather have a visually appealing TT then a scientifically correct one.

I'm not exactly sure about what the purpose of the dome is. AFAIK, smaller tesla coils sometimes don't have a dome-ball thingy, whilst bigger ones usually do.

Or, the dome is perhaps the "coil" part of a tesla coil, maybe just smothered over in a dome cover.

In RA1 (and 2) all weaponised tesla coils have "balls" at the end, it's possible I suppose that in the TT the rest of the mechanism is inside the tank.

Man-portable weapons don't have any of the normal "coil" attributes and in RA they are shown as resembling over-sized cattleprods.

Yeah it was a omnidirectional tesla coil, apparently mounted on a halftrack. Maybe a big dome for no reason, just design feature. Who knows?

@Omega Counterstrike saw the Tesla Tank's introduction with a modified Radar Jammer but no sprite (or weapon, it used the Tesla Zap that the Tesla Coil used). Then came Aftermath which introduced a sprite for it, which was long overdue since the Tesla Tank was used in half the Counterstrike missions, less in the Aftermath ones though.

i think it looks good with the two rings

However it still could be improved a bit
-make the bright ring under the lowest metal ring 1-2 voxel smaller in its radius
-add an additional bright ring between the two metal rings, so the upper one isn't that close to the other lower ring.
-change the black stripes on the side to a dark grey and change the single orange/yellow voxel on this one to a more visible and smoother texture

Make the orange stripes 2 voxels thick and make the rings 1 or 2 voxels away from the dome.
