I recently changed the multiplayer settings on one of my maps and when I start the game up and it goes to the start up screen it will show the normal
Speed=6 max
Money=10000 max
Units=10 max

But now when I start the game and then quit the game and it goes back to the start up screen it will show me the changed settings
Speed=1 min 6 max
money=10000 min 100000 max
units=10 min 100 max

any reason why it wont initially show this at the start up screen?

you need to make a mod for these settings to work... the only thing you can mod on the map is ingame setting... :/ not menu optons.

Do not listen to wardeathfun, he hasn't a clue.

The settings don't work the first time because that data hasn't loaded into the game. That's why it works on subsequent tries but not the first.

There is _no_ way around this outside of modding in full.

well that stinks, the map i used it on is going into my mod, but it was such a well put together map i made a multiplayer version as well. but thanks for the info Dark.

Technically, you could get around it with some cleverly designed triggers like... say... reinforcements and a money crate. Though... the only thing with reinforcements is they're independent of side but ehh... close enough.
