-expand01.mix = includes some shp effects, the rulesmd.ini and soundmd.ini (moust yuri things i think)
-langmd.mix = string table(ra2md.csf), audiomd.mix all new sounds (in yuris R) and the cameomd.mix (all new cameos in RA2Yr)
-language.mix= the same as langmd.mix but the old ra2 stuff (W.o. yuri)
-maps01.mix,maps02.mix,mapsmd03= how the name says ... maps
-movies01.mix,movies02.mix,movmd.mix= movies
-multi.mix,multimd.mix= more maps :p
-ra2.mix,ra2md.mix=many more mix files ... the terrain types, the buildings and the voxels (local.mix)
-ra2md.mix= the same as ra2.mix but for yuri expansion
-theme.mix,thememd.mix=background music and like
-wdt.mix=campagne shps
btw. xxxmd are the new files of the expansion "yuris revenge" QUICK_EDIT

Don't do that. Put SHP's, PCX's, PAL's, such things, in ecachemd**.mix where ** is a number, and put voxels and HVA's in expandmd**.mix. Yes, you have to create those 2, and if you add a new soundtrack you'll also need ecachethememd**.mix. _________________ ☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭

Ronco, wdt.mix is actually the stuff for the RA2 multiplayer mode "World Domination" which was removed from YR.
Need my speed, ecache DOES NOT need md after it and DOES NOT need a number even in YR. It takes any string. voxels and hva files also work fine from it and don't need to be in expandmd AFAIK. QUICK_EDIT

Point is, it's better to put SHP's in ecache and voxels in expand, for then they can overwrite existign voxels etc.
For example, I've made a new ttnk, I've called it ttnk, and I put it into ecache. Guess what, the ttnk won't work and instead the original Tesla Tank will show up. But if I had put ttnk into expand, then it would've worked.
I didn't knew those files didn't need md for Yuri's Revenge, but if you put md behind them, the game will only read them when playing Yuri's Revenge. If you hadn't put md behind them, and you decided to play Red Alert 2, the game would read those files. So you can unknowingly mod RA2 too that way, but that probably won't happen, as RA2 uses different country flags, uses rules.ini and not rulesmd.ini, voxels etc of course aren't a problem as they don't have a unit attached to, etc. _________________ ☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭
