Can i put Crane/Foundry in RA2YR and have it work with limited structures buildable for it? And if I can how?

Building construction is limited to one at a time in RA2/YR. Unlike CnC3 and on, this uses the original (albeit highly improved) sidebar interface from CnC TD.

In English, no.

Theoretically you could but not to provide additional construction. It would be merely to reduce construction time.

lol. to add aditional construction tasks: No no

For building Support structures and defences: Could be possible, But instead, why don't you create a Crane, make it a prerequisite to the defences, and there you go, it would seem like the Crane is building it, but its still the Conyard, so theoretically, the Crane is just a tech center for the defences #Tongue

I think the way to make it most like CnC3 is this:

You have a conyard and a crane. Mark both as a conyard. Give the crane a buildlimit of 1 (as more than that is useless.)
Make a copy of all the standard buildings (Tech) and make the clones defenses (Combat). Find all the REAL defenses (not the clone Tech buildings you just made), and make them Tech. You'll see why in a minute.
Now make all the Tech things require the Conyard and all the Combat things require the crane. Remember, you can't buy defense without a ConYard in CnC3, and this mirrors that. The only problem now is that all your base defenses are in the Tech section. LOL. Go into the .CSF files and change their tooltips to "Primary Build Queue" (right word?) and "Secondary Build Queue". If you know how, change the small little icons on the tabs from what they are to a "1" and a "2". There you have it. That's as close as you get. As far as Barracks go, you're screwed, as far as I know, unless you can build from a Allied and Soviet barracks, then I might have a workaround.

(Quick tip: You've just about got fanatics already, if you're interested; just change their death weapon to nothing and it should work. If not, I've got nothing.)

LOL, now that's some fine out-of-the-box thinking.

We should get a Spotlight forum for modding techniques.
