I started making this.. and got irritated with animating the damn thing.

Anyone up for the challenge ? go ahead it's yours, but I ask that whatever you do with it becomes a public asset, and I get some credit.

Make the turret look like some sort of laser cannon #Tongue

If you want animation help,try using the Terror Drone used by the soviets in RA2.It might help you(IIRC it was a voxel...)

Well if I cant work out the animation its gonna be nothing in the end

Following Ronco's tutorial, I did this:

#1 used voxel offset to place parts on axis

#2 used hva position to place the legs in starting position.

#3 selected copy frame

#4 used rotation and position to move the legs to next position.

#5 pressed add frame

I then looked at the animation to only see the legs move up and down from the original position and move like they were walking( this is the only part i want)

Hmm never noticed this. Despite the funky walking anim it looks really great. Unfortunately I don't know how to help with that problem.

Whats your problem?

And BTW you should always use the copy frame for doing walk animations helps allot with positioning the legs right.

delete the last frame and Copy the second to last frame then replace the last frame with that one and follow the same steps as above. its a easly fixed problem

if you did a voxel copy of the unit before the voxel was done it will foul up the HVA as i found out.

Hey been trying to animate this thing will release once I've got it right heres a preview though one frame maybe missing due to that white frame glitch note also still adding frames and need to get legs moving up and down

yea that was my idea for the mech I had in mind once its animated though testing ingame was'nt as big as I thought it looked but meh its currently sliding around so I'll get to the leg lifting soon

Well so far I've only got to the legs moving sideways its kinda hard to get the legs to lift without know then next step I may have to restart the hva again Confused
