Suppose I have a multiplayer mod with four factions, A, B, C, and D.

Is it possible to limit alliances such as:

* Multiple players of the same faction must be on the same team (allied all game).

* Certain factions cannot start allied with certain other factions

* Certain factions CAN start allied with certain other factions

* Certain factions can't start allied with certain other factions, BUT can form breakable alliances ingame if they want.

I don't suppose this is at all possible, even in a hacky way, but I thought I'd ask if anyone's heard of anything similar.

Can anything faction specific be done, such as having specific music for a faction or specific colour palletes?

Specific music was possible in TS (but bit buggy IIRC), but I doubt the logic is still in RA2.

AFAIK in YR 1.001 (Not sure about unpatched one or RA2), Side= does work in ThemeMD.ini. Only problems I have experienced are that if you don't make sure that every side has atleast one track for ingame playlist it starts to show erratical behaviour. (showing the wrong tracks for sides or something like that IIRC.) The another problem was loading screen text being displayed in wrong color but i've only experienced that once, all subsequent games displayed it in the right color. (and concerning that it was with NPatch and it's custom Third/FourthSide load colors, it might not be an issue with standard game)

Incase you meant country specific tracks, they are impossible, due to Side= only taking entries from [Sides] list (GDI,Nod & ThirdSide out of playable ones in standard YR) I think

That's what I meant Wink I wasn't completely sure if it still worked, but it doesn't.
