ok,i changed this cuz i made a mistake in this thread,there is the official thread for my question to be answered.
So i have another question.

Is it possible to make the ion cannon a weapon with more AoE?

i tried giving it a ....... here is waht i did in art.ini

[IONBEAM]
Translucent=yes
Rate=200
Tiled=yes
TranslucencyDetailLevel=1
Report=ION1
Damage=5000000 ; really high
DamageRadius=9999 ;really high
Warhead=HE
Rate=400

[RING1]
Translucent=yes
Rate=300
TranslucencyDetailLevel=1
Flat=true
Damage=500
DamageRadius=1000
Warhead=IonCannonWH
ExpireAnim==RING1
Crater=yes
Scorch=yes
Flamer=yes

and you guessed it,nothing happened except that it can kill a single taget immediately.

Try changing the Rules.ini, that is where the damage is at. Yet I dont know, I dont mod TS. I should give it a try.

Well,that only increases the damage.Besides,the animation does 50k damage,it kills about everything.

No matter how you raise the Damage value, it will still affect just the cell the warhead detonates in. DamageRadius seems to have no effect either. Best way is make the Ring1 anim spawn invisible, dummy debris around it that does the damage. Look at the meteors' codes for example.

I am sorry to say but it does not work.Neither with debris and anim list.



As it seems it does not work.As it seems that it is impossible,i ahve got anotehr question.


There was a tutorial for to make an ionstorm center or so.
My prob,where is the animation that appears when the lightning of the storm hits?i cant find it.

the ion storm lightning bolts are hardcoded and generated by the engine. There is no SHP which actually has them.
So if you want to use lightning bolts, you have to make a new SHP by either creating a complete new bolt or use a screenshot and cut out the ion bolt.
