I never liked the darkness of TS grass. so here's my change to it. Very Happy

Next I will probably replace the dark ground or "Ground 2" as it's called in final alert with a mud similar to that of Starcraft.

edit: The dark ground is done, until/unless I decide to add cracks. Very Happy

Is it just me, or does the clear ground now look darker? Oh, and that grass is very well lightened. Good job.

I didn't edit the dirt, guess the contrast between the two gives that illusion #Tongue

Looks far better on dark maps. at least to me it does..

Also mud is almost done, I just need to blend the transitions a bit, and remake some craters to match it's darkness.

For the mud, try to make like, cracked floors near the area.

Somehow that gave me an idea for tar pits using a new cliff and water set.

Yep, too dark for mud (unless it's that boiling type in volcanic areas). Where's our stereotypical brown mud?

Then call it dark ground for all I care.

All things considered though.. It should fit in If I make a complete volcanic terrain with this dark "mud", ash, lava , and Tar/cliff set.. this thing could become bigger than I planned Laughing

Are you going to do over the regular 'clear' terrain and make it actually visually appealing?

This is looking nice! Reminds me of TI's old terrain, keep it up (I still think you should replace the grass entirely though Razz

Well if you have something in mind for the grass, I'm open to suggestion and help.

Also.. can I add new types instead of just replacing existing terrain in TS? if so how? #Tongue

It is great to see more public terrain, that is really needed.

The grass looks just fine, the dark ground transitions too suddenly imo, and needs better transitioning into the main ground type.
