there are so many different worms infecting pc... it's too common and most of them just annoy you... nothing that Norton cannot do (specially when provided with some wise human help Wink)

yeah, but this supposedly lets someone take over your entire computer, so right now, someone could be looking at all of Honeywell's employee's work and stuff

the point is simple. You dont have to fear them, you must be protected for any kind of virus with Norton and wise Human support... I currently cant count the number of trojan horses and other kind of virus that appeared in my computer, but few of them were dangerous to me... actually, only one as far as I can remember... Chernobyl bastard that rewrote my BIOS... The others were removed quite fast... or didnt showed any damage on my machine...

Guys it's not the end of the world... it could be dangerous if it only affected your company, because if the virus stolen data from it, the creator would have all the time in the world to analyse it. However, if this virus steals data from many companies and users, I doubt the creator will analyse or pay attention to yours... unless yo are in big companies like Microsoft or from a government (specially from USA).

xp uses the same system as nt only a bit modified (you can compare it like the ts and ra2 engine)so xp is actually a new nt thus also nt should be affected

Yep i got that blaster worm the other day, was doing some work on the net when it suddenly come up with a generic win 32 system error. So i then closed it then that irritating timer countdown came up. I downloaded the microsoft update shortly after which then prevented it from coming back. Then ran regedit and looked for the msblast.exe and other files and deleted them. Seems to have gone now, though i had a security warning last night on Zone Alarm concerning the worm.

Good thing is the worm doesn't do any damage to your comp, just more of an annoyance.

The worm contains the following text, which is never displayed:

I just want to say LOVE YOU SAN!!
billy gates why do you make this possible ? Stop making money and fix your software!!

Though it supposed to attack the windows security and update site by spamming it with loads of useless data according to reports.
