A simple question about armor templates
After checking and rechecking for simple spell errors, I am having issues with an armor template I'm wanting to use for a new unit. I have included an entry into Mod.xml referencing the armor.xml which has the updated armor template in it.
I would've thought updatiing the armor for a unit was a simple matter of referencing the armor template entry from the armor.xml file in the unit's xml. This is apparently not the case.
Is the unit's xml file the only place one must reference and include data concerning armor besides the unit's armor entry in 'armor.xml' or should I be looking in another place? Armorset refers to the <ArmorTemplate> entry in armor.xml, correct?
The specific error when compiling is an 'unknown asset' deal... QUICK_EDIT
yes, adding the armor to the Armor.xml should be enough. You could even add the armor into the same file as the unit itself and it sould be working.
However, "'unknown asset" implies that the compiler cant find the armor.xml and hence cant find you new armor. Make sure you have added the armor.xml to the mod.xml and the path is correct. _________________
