Quick community roundup..
Subject description: It's time to raise the zombies that frequents this place. (10/2009 until 6/11/2009)
Hey everyone! PPM has been a bit slow in these days in terms of news post, even if in terms of forum activity, it is not doing bad. And I've been busy trying to write the text from my final project. I hate writting big texts, so, it's being a sort of a very boring job. But that's the price I have to pay to get graduated and finally get rid of this university. Anyway, it looks like that the other news posters are just as busy as myself. So, in order to bring some activity to the place, let's get some news:
-> CnC World's birthday should happen around november 24th and chickendippers started a set of contests to celebrate the occasion. The first one is already online and you have until the 24th day of the month to photograph your C&C pride. Take a picture of you, with a sort of C&C dress or in places that may remind C&C games... or doing actions that reminds C&C in some way. Almost anything is valid, although I'm sure that pr0n pictures won't be validated. So, do not abuse. Here's what you can do:
* Act or dress up like your favourite C&C character
* Wear your favourite C&C T-Shirt at a well-known landmark or in an entertaining scenario
* Show off your C&C games/merch collection
* Write, create or do something that shows your C&C pride
And you can get the entire catalogue from Frank Klepacki, Generals t-shirt and much more... I admit that if I had the entire Frank's catalogue, I wouldn't give it away in a contest ... Anyway, it's your chance to own it doing something very simple. And most of the times, the competition is weak: few people enter in it, so your chances of winning it are high.
For more information about this contest, visit this link and good luck.
-> TibEd 2.1 has been recently been made available by Koen as release candidate. Unlike TibEd 1, TibEd 2 organizes your units and files in a nice interface for you to code the XML files from C&C3. Although I must admit that Koen has plans for a GUI editor in future versions. TibEd 2 is targeted at C&C3 modders, although it may work with Generals, but it doesn't work with RA3.
If you wanna a simple way to edit Tiberium Wars, test TibEd 2.
-> CNCNZ.com has a new roundtable discussion available HERE with Sonic, Nmenth, GBen (CNCNZ), Lion (CNC DEN), chickendippers (CnC World), Ryan (Planet CnC), Might BOB! (CnC Source) and NODSOLDIERGIRL (CnC-247). This roundtable mainly discuss C&C4 with questions related to gameplay, trailer, beta testing, unit profiles, name the unit and much more.
Also, a late congratulations for CNCNZ, for their 12th anniversary.
And that's all for now. Most of the other news relies on concepts for C&C4, beta testing going in this month, name the unit... etc. For these news, check commandandconquer.com. QUICK_EDIT
