RA2 Hamachi Lan Tournament

As soon as the other competitions going on right now end and most likely after Thanksgiving, I'll be hosting an online RA2 Tournament. I chose RA2 because it's more balanced and dosent use patches. So everyone who enters will be equal. We will be using Hamachi Lan, so if you plan to enter you must have it. They will be 1 on 1 matches to make it more fair. The Prize will be a RA3 Limited Premier Editon (PC) game. Let me know by November 30 if interested so I can make the line ups. First Round games will be assigned thru random picking out of a hat. From there I'll use a ladder for remaining rounds.

RA2 has had several patches... o.0 or do you mean stuff like NPatch? Which isn't that hard to un-patch for online games.

Well I chose it mostly for the Balance, and also I forgot Make sure your RA2 is updated to Ver 1.006 thats what we'll be using.

Because you can install YR and NOT have the original RA2 patched to 1.006.

I'll honestly enter. You can sign me up. You should find a good set of tourney maps.

What days and times do we need? I work until 5PM CST and don't get home until about 6 and Wednesday is right out.

I'll join since I have Hamachi and RA2.

Well I guess I could drop out and host the games, I wouldnt mind watching people get thier butt's kicked! Very Happy

But if for some reason we end up with an odd number of players, I will have to jump in. Maybe I'll get a backup moderator just in case.

Does anyone know Renegade? enough to ask him to post an anouncement that we are having an online tourney over here at PPM?

What method will be used with Hamachi? UDP(the DLL) or the other crap? And what maps are we going to play?

Meh, I got called into work today, just got home. I'll have the maps up by nights end. As for what method to use, Hmmm, is UDP compatible with all versions of windows? Actually I dont think we can use IPX, due to the fact Vista and Window's 7 dosent have it. And does udp run with XP? I think Dark Templar X know's everything about Hamachi.

Shouldnt we be able to use both method's, just as long as it takes you to the same place.
