Is the 3rd button not just the same as pressing down (like you would the other buttons) the scroller(thing)?

It didn't do as the middle mouse button would normally do, which I found strange really, I thought it would have, but apparently not.

afaik this "shiny" edition was only ever sold in Germany.

Bloody anderwin forgot to include the C&C1 soundtrack he promised though. Could easily have been put in one of these boxes; there's plenty of space in them Sad

Yeah, the German box is pretty awesome. Only one oddity... I once found a German C&C95 manual PDF online, so I thought that'd be on the CD. It isn't, so now I'm wondering where I got that manual.

It was a crappy scan, but I'm still quite sure it was official, because the start of the document has a huge picture of the front cover, with the actual C&C logo not on it, but overlayed as different pic.

Nah it is a beta pic, but quite a well known one as far as RA1 beta screenies go so nothing new (the full screenie also shows TD style SAM sites and some other oddities)

Wow. Not only is this disk exactly everything it says it is, but unlike the original DOS C&C, it installs on XP with the original CD installer, without any problems Very Happy

Because it has 200 mb of videos, it uses the CD just like the normal game does. -cd worked fine though, so I'm uploading the final result as stand-alone demo Smile

Another fun detail... it has the FULL CD install, including the freaky ending Smile

[edit]

btw, for anyone who wants the full demo:
[-link ded.-]
I split it up in the actual demo and the demo media files, just like the original demo. Use "c&c.com" to run it without CD, preferably using either VDMSound or DOSBox.

Full CD ISO coming soon.

[edit: https://archive.org/details/ccdemocd/ ]

[edit again]

Oh wow, lol. I just pressed Intro & Sneak Peek, and after the intro it showed the RA1 trailer that's on the Covert Ops disk. Neat Smile

While here, i need a HUGE favor some people.

IIRC there where 4 versions of TS release. English, German, French and Spanish.

I need ISOs of GDI and Nod discs from each language, and are there any more?

I got them all for C&C1... both DOS and W95 versions, and Covert Ops too. But not TS.

I got some voice mix files from Spanish TS though; needed them for making the Spanish C&C1 translation. Maybe I could get you into contact with Zenix, who gave them to me. Won't you need cloneCD images though?

I just compared the pics with the ones on the ebay link I sent you... yep, that's the one.

How is "7 days" a long wait though, for something like THAT? #Tongue

I'm proud to add "10 years of Westwood" to my games collection Smile

My camera crapped out though (autofocus broke; doesn't have manual focus), so these are just the ebay pics.

The booklet included had an awesome pic of a beta C&C1 harvester though... so blurriness be damned, I tried to take a pic for you people anyway:

As you might be able to see despite the blurriness, it has the chassis that was eventually used for the Flame tank.

btw, I also got Nox in my mail today. but again, not much use posting a pic; it's all blurry.
