Subject description: How to modify?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to modify/add team colours.

I want to adjust blue and purple because blue appears closer to purple on units, whereas purple is verging on pink.

I was hoping it would be a simple case of changing some RGB values but I haven't been able to find any in the .ini files.

Thanks

I know of a mod that do that: Colorations
Maybe you should ask the one who made it (Sedistix) how he did it.
I doubt it's an ini file mod,but it should not be too much complicated.

Alter the [Colors] section, however theyre HSV and not RGB values so use VKs 'RGB to HSV' tool.

The colors are defined in MultiplayerColors.xml, found in GlobalData. The colors are saved as RGBA (Red;Green;Blue;Alpha transparency), AFAIK only RGBColor and RGBNightColor are used for player objects.

Note that if you are talking about the color shift on Nod objects, that's due to the Nod shader adding a red tint to the model. If you adjust the colors to show correctly for Nod, they won't look right on GDI & Scrin anymore.

Hello.

I see "colorations" was mentioned.

Here's the source of my Colorations mod, feel free to use it however you like, and credit is not required.

You get 4 of original colors, and 36 new colors. Add more if you like, I'm unaware of any limit.
