Infantry Pickup, Infantry as transports, and Grinder "Trade"
Subject description: In Soviet Russia, Transport comes to you
I'm working on a little solo(Solo for the time being, of course) project at the moment. During a brainstorming session, approximately 2 minutes ago, I came to an idea inspired by Firestorm and Yuri's Revenge.
Can infantry transport units, if they can transport ore?
Can a transport be ordered to pickup a unit instead of the other way around?
If so:
Can you kidnap(Not mind control) enemy infantry this way?
And, can the Grinder act as a unit trade center instead of a refund?
I feel bad divulging my idea, but what I plan on doing with this, if you're wondering what I could possibly plan with all of this; Imagine someone playing as CABAL in a mod (Like so many mods before) but they are able to web, then kidnap enemy infantry, bring them back to base, and convert them to, or trade them for cyborgs by dumping them all in a Grinder-Esque structure. Well.......Say player is country A, and computer is country B. If this is for a single player map couldn't you use a script that pretty much says when A enters area (area being Waypoint 22) then create a transport. move to Waypoint 22, wait till loaded then move to next waypoint? _________________ I am authorized to send out the TMP Studio, PM ME IF YOU WANT IT And check this out, these were sent to me for help with terrain and zdata help along with TMP Studio/Builder
I suppose transport pickups are one tic mark favoring Starcraft.
But what about unit exchanging?
Sending a unit into a structure, and a different unit coming out. And I don't mean input X to get Y and A to get B. I mean all units get the same thing in return. QUICK_EDIT

you can have an aircraft with the Carryall=yes tag land on top of any vehicle and transport it to where ever, but only one at a time that I know of. QUICK_EDIT
