Subject description: Mods with their own EXE won't start/Can't be patched
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

For some reason, I can't start up mods using their own executable.
I think the problem, or at least part of it, may be that I just recently (In November) upgraded to Win 7 64bit edition. (Previously Vista 64)
But if this were the case, compatibility mode should work.

The message I get specifically is:
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

The screen doesn't so much as flash black for a second before doing this.

If anyone can advise me, it would be much appreciated.

Oh, and yes, I'm using TFD, but the mod fixer keeps telling me I don't have the TFD version installed.

Okay, removing wsock32.dll worked, but now I'm back to square one with TFD.
That's all I'm doing, but it comes up with "ERROR: Tiberian Sun (TFD version) is not installed."

EDIT
Problem solved, was using an old version of the patcher.
