So I got my results from my virus scanner's (Avira AntiVirus) scan from last night and it said the following results:

Code:

;from my event report

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2\mph.exe
    [DETECTION] Is the TR/Dldr.Agent.77824.F Trojan
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2\mphmd.exe
    [DETECTION] Is the TR/Dldr.Agent.77824.H Trojan
C:\Westwood\RA2\mph.exe
    [DETECTION] Is the TR/Dldr.Agent.77824.F Trojan
C:\Westwood\RA2\mphmd.exe
    [DETECTION] Is the TR/Dldr.Agent.77824.H Trojan

The only thing I can find so far is on 3DRealms here

For the record I have those files quarantined until I figure out my next moves.

No, it's not a trojan. I once had Avira tell me windows explorer was a trojan.

RA2 itself may not be the trojan, if youve played RA2 online or played the game while having your internet open, someone couve tried to hack your pc and hit ra2 because it was the over active program, its happened to me before when i played star wars galaxies for my first and only time.

I've never seen RA2 come up as a trojan, but I have seen NPatch and RockPatch come up as trojans/viruses, but harmless. So I wouldnt worry about it at all.

RockPatch and ExceptChecker came up as false positives I know that. (I still left em in quarantine...damn laziness.)

I always have NPatch and RockPatch get tagged, but today I had mph.exe and mphmd.exe get tagged. Funny that those get tagged but Syringe and Ares skate cleanly by.

Majority of the time, anytime you use an exe hack such as RP, NP, and or a NoCD Crack they will get tagged as trojan/virus. Most Antivirus software will do that, as they are coded to read anything outside of the original exe's as Hacked. Some escape the wrath of Antivirus software but most do get tagged.

Odd, either Avira got a false positive fix, or jut leaving it be smacked some sense into it but last nights scan came clean. mph.exe and all.
