Forgotten "Crawler" APC

Strength: Unarmed
Armour: Strong
Speed: Slow

*Obtained via capturing Mutant Bunker*
*Requires Sides Tech Center to use*

The Mutants have never been a unified force, more usually operating in clans of a few large families.  This makes trouble for any GDI intel officer compiling a list of Mutant vehicles because until now there has been no obvious set of designs which are followed by the majority of the militant mutant populous.
Until now.  Events unbeknownst to either GDI or Nod have given rise to the "Crawler" chassis.  This chassis has been seen by GDI personnel used most usually as an MLRS platform or APC.  The variant catalogued here is the APC, which can carry a group of mutant soldiers over most terrains in safety.  And because the forgotten have no requirement for anti-Tiberium shielding the weight saved can be used for armour at no cost.

The number of locations in which these "Crawler" APCs have been spotted is climbing as the materials used to produce them become more obtainable and blueprints spread between the clans.  Only time will tell what effect this has on the battlefield, and even then any clever commander could use these to their advantage.

It looks like it was pulled out of a comic book, you can clearly see a black outline around the edges which doesn't look good at all. The color scheme and shape is excellent however, just whatever is causing that outline effect kills it.

After a closer look, I have to agree with Aro.

Nice! But agree with the others.

Picture with all the facings would be more helpful as well #Tongue

The black outline has GOT to go. It looks like the TS infantry with that comic book feel to it, or one of those bad voxels made in 2001 with terrible normals.

The vehicle itself doesn't really look like a personnel carrier either, to be honest. It looks like a MCV or some sort of supply vehicle, definitely not an APC though.

OK then, the dark outlines will be removed.

As for Volgin's comment, I really don't see how there is much difference between a supply vehicle and an APC - both have effectively the same job, the carry something across the map.
And also recognise that the wheel base is shared with other vehicles for continuity within the Mutant's mythos.

Currently there is also an MLRS, but I intend to create a set of other turrets so that during the campaign, or via map mods, the mutants can have some variety. For instance, one group of mutants might have an APC and an MLRS, but another might have an AA tank and a Flame tank.

But currently only the MLRS, APC, Prowler ATV, and Riverboat are vaguely finished. They still need touch ups, obviously. Wink

That may be the remap, which is not changing. All the locations on which the outlines could be removed or dulled have had such done to them - without some slight lines they really do look like detail-less blobs, assure you.

What he said. It seems you're using too dark colours for the outlines. I understand the lines on the gray compartment must stay, but I'm rather talking about the dark outlines on the tracks and on the cabin. Same goes for the rear part of the vehicle.

Partial redo. Removed dark outlines, attempted de-smudging of the front and back, changed remap positions.
