I'm back in business, got my com back this morning, Yay! Though I'm disappointed that alot of stuff is no longer. What ever files were corrupted including some Max files are gone. But I'm ok with it, I have pic's to use for reference to rebuild them.

So what do you think of something like this for my PatriotSys buildup? This isnt the acutual one I'll be using. Just put this together to show you what I'm thinking about doing.

When the Patriot deploys, the antennae on the back are clipping through the wall of the pit. Maybe have the antennae shorter, and then only extend once the Patriot is fully above ground?

Cliff looks nice, but would be even better if it had a trace of greenery growing on it. Cliffs don't stay that barren for long, do they? Especially not if the grass above and below them is that green...!

@Askhati, yes when the actual buildup is made "this one was just a throw together" everything will be in uniform. Greenery can be added to the cliffs via FA2 with tree's and shrubs.

@DonutArnold, yep, yep, yep, this was made using your cliff tutorial. Razz

It needs more detailed textures on the grey walls. Also note that the opening and closing frames for both the door and a roof can only be an open and a closed frame, multiple frames for war factories are TS only.

For some reason,the roof remind me of the chronosphere Confused ,and it feels a bit weird.
Also,I think more of NOD than GDI when looking at this factory (but that's probably just because of the red on the side,maybe that feeling will disappear when ingame)

Finally,2 things:
-what is the thing that open on the side while building up (make me think of a trap where you put trash Laughing )
-on the roof opening animation,is it a glitch between the front part and the side part (on the right of the other think I talked about)?

The rest is great,altough I wonder for which game it is.

@Aro- Yes, you are correct, although doors can be animated, roofs cannot.
and i've taken your advice and added more detail to sides.

all problems and glitches have been fixed, thanks guys. Alot of times I cant see things unless I put them up here for other eyes to ctach. Smile

Here's a version of the VenomWarFac, anything you see that might be outta place or maybe needs more let me know.

Dont worry about the anim, this is just to show what I'm thinking of.

I think in the back there's light until the door close (meaning there's a window in the back probably,and not a lots of things inside to block the light from going all the way from the font to this window)

yea, it's a tad big, but I intended it to be so. Take in to consideration the load it will carry. 3 tanks, 4 infantry. just dosent seem logical to have a transport smaller than whats going inside. Just like my tree's, they twice the hieght as ra2 tree's. I just could never get over the fact that an infantry was just as tall as a tree.

One of the things I miss about TD in most modern RTS games is the fact infantry can hide behind trees. Now, stick a couple deployed E1s behind a tree in RA2 and they've got big neon signs saying "HERE WE ARE".

(Well, it's an setting anyways.)

The rotors clip into eachother during the spin anim, altho I suppose that won't be noticed ingame much.

Does anyone know how to make the tank tracks animated? I dont have a problem rotating the wheels, but how would I go about rotating the tracks with the wheels?

Well the time has come. The time to start assembling VenomRage. I think I have everything I need except for infantry. "I think" But anyways, In the next couple of weeks I will be putting this bad boy together and if things go right there will be a playable beta by mid April. It will be distributed here at ppm to a select few only to test run it and find and fix any bugs. Wish me luck! and believe me you guys are gonna love this one, I promise you that... Razz

I'm hoping to have a full release by june 1st, just in time for summer!

yea I know it's still a bit blocky right now, thats why I said I still have a ways to go. Just wanted to know what ya'll thought so far.
