Having trouble with ModifyPE

For some reason, whenever I try to play an AVI file, double clicking causes modifyPE to make the file unusable to me. It looks like the double click option has been mysteriously changed to "ModifyPE it". Does anyone have a solution for this?

ModifyPE checks md5 sums. It's not even necessary in the first place.
