I am trying to convert 3d model to vxl I have

VXL III 1.39.82

and I read this topic

http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=368380&sid=61b48c928fb4a6ce4b0c6c533ed7506b

When I try to import my model it says:

Quote:
Please inform the location of the 3DS2VXL excutable. If you do not have it, download it from http\\get3ds2vxl.ppmsite.com

I have the txt convertor for 3dsmax....is there something I am missing

do you have 3ds2vxl installed on your computer? If no you need it. If yes, when that message appears just browse for the exe and double click it. It will then start automatically. and you only have to do it once

Also, to do this you need to convert from .max to .3ds. Then you need to put the .3ds file and all textures used on the model in same folder.

It will then ask you where the source (.3ds) file is, double click it. then choose to save it in the same directory. also when you name your voxel you must type it with the .vxl format. Like tank.vxl -> .vxl must be added or it will not work

All I am stuck is texture doesn't come with and I have to recolor them and it's not easy for me. I tried many ways but it seems to go bad. I have to create work in SketchUp because 3ds does contain texture.
