Four Billboards [TS]

Just some billboards I made a while ago. Very simple, but maybe someone could use them who wants to expand their civi collection without doing work themselves. #Tongue

Contains both snow and temperate files. To use both you'll have to stick them in the isotem/sno mixes instead of a regular one.

The on I did once, in the GIMP, worked like this:
-Take Billboard from TS
-Make image you wish to place on billboard
-Distort image to the same shape/direction/size/angle as billboard
-Merge down

iirc, Aro made a quick tutorial on it somewhere.

To make an animated one, you'll just need an unpowered animation for it, right? Hmm... Should not be too had to pull off!

Potential animations:
- animated Nod logo from TS (rotating triangle)
- animated GDI logo (rotating disc)
- Coke/Pepsi ad
- a weather forecast from a TV news channel

Actually a holo-sign wouldn't be very much work. The problem is that it involves an animation similar to a short movie clip. And this is no job for 3dsmax but more for someone who has knowledge about creating movies and short video clips.
With the final animation as a gif or mpg it would be a quite fast job to render this in the 3d scene on a plane and give it a special holo effect, though this would be mainly achieved ingame too via transparency.
So it's basically just rendering the anim in the right perspective and adding a small holo-emitter-structure under it with a very fast done custom alphalight to give it ingame some kind of glow.

And once you have the holo-emitter structure done as well as the alphalight, you could reuse it for some other animations too.
