The Tiberian Sandwich [TS]
Alright, after countless times of saying my mod will soon be released I'm glad to say its finally done. I haven't really posted any screens or info on this mod before since it kept changing quite alot till the release. The mod is supposed to act more as an expansion pack to Tiberian Sun than a mod. There are some minor gameplay affecting changes to the original game, but only where I felt the original game was really flawed (most obvious example being the hunterseeker). Here's a quick summary of the main things the mod has:
- The Forgotten added as a 3rd side (27 units and 15 buildings).
- 5 new GDI and 6 new Nod units.
- 1 new superweapon / support power for both GDI and Nod.
- Updated visuals, especially aimed to make sure no GDI and Nod unit share the same look. New visual effects such as lighter vehicles being blown up into the sky when destroyed. Graphical bugs and glitches removed.
- Difficulty levels don't adjust unit properties anymore, meaning a hard AI's tank will not be more powerful than yours.
- Complete overhaul of the veterancy system, every unit now gets a bonus that is worth the effort to level them up.
- New music tracks added and all the Nod ones enable for skirmish play.
This release is the 1st version, not a beta or anything. All the units and other things are in. For the next version I'm going to make the AI alot more challenging and make them use all the new units. If it can be done I will also make the AI play as the Forgotten. Of course if there are any balance issues I'll work to fix them. Adding a singleplayer campaign for the mutants would be interesting, but right now I'm simply too tired of TS modding to even consider it. Maybe someone who has experience on mapping would be interested to help me out on that?
I'll add the mod on ModDB once I've got more time, right now I'll just attach the mod here. See the post below. Btw how would I go about adding a seperate section for the mod on these boards?

I get an I.E every time I start a skirmish game. It crashes during the loading. I use an unaltered FreeTS. It crashed every time before with original TS, but I had other files cluttered at that point. QUICK_EDIT
Make sure you are using windows compatibility mode for win98 (or something else if that doesn't work). Just noticed it crashes me out in the skirmish loading screen too if I don't have that enabled. I'm still using windows XP so not sure about vista or win7. QUICK_EDIT

Unless you fix your standard TS first, it's hard to tell if the IE is from the mod. QUICK_EDIT

Just to update, the release I put out has one massive balance problem that I discovered just today but forgot to correct it before the release. And even worse the credits are missing the biggest contributor to my mod, Askhati, who made over half of the mutant structures. I will put out an updated version of the mod to correct these as soon as I can contact Morpher. Anyone who downloaded the mod already should check back soon to download the updated version. I'll make a new reply here when it's up for download. Sorry again Askhati, I have no idea what I was thinking (well more like, what I WASN'T thinking). QUICK_EDIT
